Maybe Ipponmatsu's family is from Wano, but his wife's family had the shop for 200 years. It's still family run at that point but Ipponmatsu married into the family with the business. It could be that Yubashiri was indeed his family's (from Wano) sword. - A bit like RWBY. You have a character called Jacques. Where Jacques married Willow Schnee (who was the heir to the Schnee dust company), but Jacques had more business skills then Willow had, so Jacques basicly took over the business entirely. P.S. The Zoro poster in the shower is great. I imagine Ipponmatsu getting up, thinking "What is the point, I'm not going to get many costumers today." So Iponmatsu goes for his shower and sees the poster and get the morale boost he needs for the day 😆. *Ipponmatsu:* "No! I need to press on, it happends once that a true swordman walked into my shop, it can happen again!" 🤣

(Disregard my comment. I just checked her vivre card and she was addressed as his 奥さん (okusan) which is wife. I didn't know kaachan was also a term to call your wife.) Actually, she is his mother. The term he calls her is かあちゃん (kaachan) which is an affectionate, childlike, or an informal way of saying "mom" basically.

it could be that tashigi had all the data from the marine record books about various swordsmiths thought the history and she complied it to a small book , compared to devil fruit encyclopedia which was available ot market and i guess sanji had it , and we also saw a different version of it in kuma's back story when bonney was a child

There is something that nobody ever talks about. By now I believe it's pretty common knowledge that out of the 26 people that left Wano 55 years ago, 10 STAYED IN THE EAST BLUE. That means 16 others were out there wandering the world. That means that any and EVERY character that has anything related to Japan (Wano = Japan), be it a hobby, or cultural aesthetics, is 100% from Wano or a descendant of Wano. This includes: - Fujitora, pretty obvious blind samurai aesthetic, and most recently we found out his sword was forget by theFugetsu clan, which means it was 100% passed down from his family because that's how samurai families work - Akainu, he has a big irezumi (yakuza sleeve tattoo), plus his Hiroshima dialect - Kumadori and his mom, he has an obvious kabuki aesthetic - Tashigi, born in the EAST BLUE and she's one year older than Kuina, she's 100% sure to be her older sister so she also likely got the book for her family - Ipponmatsu, Japanese name and also Yabashiri in the family, JUST LIKE JAPANESE SAMURAI FAMILIES, and Yubashiri is a Japanese name All the knowledge in the world about the graded swords and how to turn swords into black blades were BROUGHT FROM WANO THANKS TO THOSE 26 PEOPLE!!!!!
