The dialectical approach to dreams, knowing the context and the use of a systems based model to sync up many different unconscious psychodynamics and using it to interpret the dream was great to see. And also going into the Freudian modelling at the beginning which seems to collapse itself with no emotional relational elements taken into consideration from the wider context. Trying to compile what I've learned from this interpretation -The are cultural components to a dream -The dream identified characters could be part of the ego consicousness (complexes as well) -You have to pay attention to the dream as a narrative; which means each character appears for a reason -You need to pay attention in a dream to what appears and what is absent, sometimes what is absent (a representation of X character) is more relevant -The interpretation comes from a place of raport; the interpretation is open to change -From these 2 dreams, it appears you find rapport following the dream narrative (first looking to access the platonic anima complex and then the new access code/password) - Help yourself with cultural interpretations, stories, characters, etc, to pinpoint the characteristics of the dream I think the biggest one is the open interpretation and rapport ones. Without these, you can't progress your understanding. I hope I come back later and learn something new

When Steve said about going back in time might not be a good idea because it could strengthen the complex. Than what is your opinion Freud repetition compulsion as a way to try and resolve and unresolved issue in the past that the individual keeps seeming to face in the present. I tried this a couple months ago about how I felt and realized my "pet peve" if you like is when other people behave as if I've "disappointed them". Now after 2 decades I've to understand it was simply a way to be tricked. I felt a zap in my mind when after confrontating difficult situations in the past and have learned more than I would have otherwise perhaps 🙏

Hi @watchmedostuff6074, thanks for sharing, your thoughtful and informative comment. Freud's repetition compulsion, is what Jung would refer to as being a 'misfired attempt at self-cure.' If it worked, it wouldn't be either repeated or a compulsion. The fact that it hasn't worked, requires another angle of understanding. Psychoanalysis, generally utilizes the transference to recapitulate the original 'need' that was frustrated, and unable to be met-with. This is time consuming, and amplifies attachment to the therapist, in that the transference become an iatrogenic factor. Accessing Meta-Instincts, is the efficient solution to repetition compulsion. Unfortunately, the approach generally made by Jungians to what they model as 'archetypes' or to Object-Relations, tends to mythologize and reify, respectively, factors that are fundamentally homeostatic. Also, in my opinion about the dream in which the dreamer is in school with some of his classmates. Perhaps his dream has to do with the collective of his people he's known in his life his community. To come together and perhaps unify in the ever uncertain future? Maybe that's why he couldn't get the code because there not able to come to an understanding like a mantra to how they will face a future obstacle? And that the two married women and the man with the big ring is just another way of saying they choose themselves everyone chooses themselves but he doesn't know what to do or choose anything and that's why nothing gets done in the agora. Meaning no taking charge Just my thoughts 🙏 thank you
