+LoveTheSupremes haha, no probs, I need to put more up but my wifi is awful, I need to get it sorted, I need your opinion btw, would you go for a Bosch series 6 or a Miele wda....? ;)
@HooverA30608 жыл бұрын
HOTPOINT ROCKS (Not!) me personally? A Miele WDA (W Classic), I would go for the one with the delay start which is the WDA210, the angled-fascias are nice and so much more stylish. Plus, hats off to Miele, they do take a lot of strain and handle it very well!
@hotpointrocksnot21228 жыл бұрын
+LoveTheSupremes hmmm I thought so too, although I think I might just save up a tonne more and get a Miele w1! ;)

There's no spin brake as such, the drum stops quickly after a spin because the timer re-engages the wash contactor which essentially causes the inertia from the spinning drum to be fed back into the AC mains supply. (quite efficient). The Ipso uses a 2-speed motor wound for 2 pole spin and 12 pole wash/rinse/de-tangle. Alot of these mechanical timer-driven washers are getting a bit dodgy nowadays as the timers are horrendously expensive to replace and do mechanically wear out eventually.

The IPSO WE73 and the IPSO WE165 have both 500 rpm maximum spin speed. The g-force from the WE73 is 74 at 500 rpm (max speed). The g-force from the WE165 is 88 at 500 rpm (max speed).

Hi! Cool videos are for you. The IPSO WE73 washing machines operating manual says that a spin speed of max. 500 rpm. In Hungary very few of these self-service laundry is located. The older are similar there are IPSO machines. The younger laundries has been Italian Renzacci machines. :-) I'm washing machine mechanic. More Primus and Electrolux machine I could have been repaired. As well as industrial use. Despite this mainly engaged in household washing machines.

Did you know theres a button at the back you can press to advance the timer?

Hi~ Can I put liquid detergent or laundry pod to this type of washing machine? And thank you very much for sharing this video. It's useful for a tourist like me because it seems that a nearby laundrette is also using the same model. 🙂

This was when machines actually washed in a decent amount of water.

6:23 I think something is wrong there, on hot wash its supposed to do first spin, then pre rinse (that blank stage on the timer) then the second spin then main wash, but it skips to main wash like the other programs! Either its faulty or they have modified it
@HooverA306010 ай бұрын
Remembering the state of this laundrette, I'd say it's more likely the latter, that they were faulty. There were a few in here that all did their own thing, either never shutting off, or taking far longer than usual to complete a cycle. This place was sadly demolished when they built the new Elizabeth Line station on its site

My favourite commercial washer is a JLA 88

Are those bedspreads alright to wash on 60? I've got one like that but in plain white and it says to do it on 30 :/ but I'm not being funny it's not gonna stay white when it's only ever on 30 degrees is it? Again this is a great video :)
@HooverA30608 жыл бұрын
+HOTPOINT ROCKS (Not!) this one luckily came out all right on 60ºc, in fact thank you for telling me the temperature as I was never sure with commercial washers what they are. I think on the label that's the safe temperature to wash it...of course I think you can wash it higher, at least maybe 50 or 60 for it. I have many white shirts that say '40', but they've so far been all right washing at 95 :P

What year are these machines from? They last forever!
@HooverA30603 жыл бұрын
I feel like they’re 1980s-1990s?
@crushu2D8 жыл бұрын
they do 525 rpm as the computer program ones at far grange park back in the day said at the back of the machine and had same motors, only difference was they never spin break
@HooverA30608 жыл бұрын
+crushu2D thank you very much! That does seem about right for the speed. As far as I know, the 16lb/WE73 models have the spin break, the larger 25lb and 35lb/WE165 does not have for some reason. Probably because the 16lb are made to finish the cycle quicker.

Where are the coin slots on these machines?
@HooverA30608 жыл бұрын
+Harry Henshaw there's no coin slots on these, they have a machine in the wall to put your machine number and money into and it starts the washing machine automatically. :)

Wonderful video Lovely laundrette too :)
@HooverA30608 жыл бұрын
+glenfieldmathk1 it is indeed :), but most machines are out of order... The one I filmed saying it took 30 minutes to rinse, as I was leaving it started spinning really unbalanced and shaking like mad and when it was sudslocking, it started throwing water everywhere from the dispenser..in which it actually splashed me!
@TheLaunderetteExplorer_uk8 жыл бұрын
+LoveTheSupremes ooo that's sounds very "not good!" It'll be interesting to see what happened when you upload it. I guess the machines aren't maintained well then??
@HooverA30608 жыл бұрын
Most certainly not maintained well, Dryer 41 burnt and turned my martial arts uniform yellow and most machines either have bearing failures, take ages, door broken and one keeps rotating when the door is closed. Not to mention the spin dryer is out of use too.
@TheLaunderetteExplorer_uk8 жыл бұрын
+LoveTheSupremes you should leave the door closed, and let it keep turning, would it not advance? Also adding coins to the computer and selecting this machine would it not start up normally?
