Great vid Rob. I’m a proud Ipswichian who loves our city and it’s people. I live not far from the cemetery. The River Heart Parklands Walk is still probably fenced off from the 2022 Floods. Lots of old historic buildings have been torn down over the years, the Railway Station one of them. Shame, but the ones that remain are great to see everyday. Did you venture to the Workshops Rail Museum at North Ipswich? Great place to see. Perfect for your vids. Love to see a follow up from 1904 onwards.

Thanks Rob for an interesting tour around Ipswich City, I was born 1937, Ipswich Town, Suffolk UK. there were many times in my 86 years when I wished for the oportunity to visit Australia. The City open spaces are vstly different to the IpswichTown, I admire the grand white homes there, the homes here are nainly red brick built. Their is a well known conection with farm machinery built by Ransomes in Ipswich Town that was shipped to Australia in the late 1800s, no doubt some were used on farms around Queensland.

@collyernicholasjohn It is believed that Governor Gipps did sink into the mud at Cleveland, however the debate about whether Cleveland would be a major port occurred several years after the supposed event, and after his death. Great walk Rob and history lesson even for those who've lived here for decades, just a shame that the River Heart Walk hasn't been fixed in over a year since the flood of 2022. Those brass children were originally in D'Arcy Doyle Place as a tribute to the legendary artist and re-housed on the river walk this century and there was a stream created plus a Waterfall using the brine water from the Bremer River.

Congrats on the 150th episode. Great vid once again. As a long term watcher, i'd like to make one comment on this video, i dont think the editing in of the "humorous" extra clips actually works, but instead distracts and takes away the natural flow and "seriousness" of your doco's.
