Loved the race, Dave! These cars appear really fast and that makes for a lot of excitement! But, as you, I really like the cars that are heavy, move a lot due to weight transfer, take time to slow down before corners. The middle ground is probably the GTEs, haha! :)

Really been enjoying your video's, watched a few over the last few days (and joined the FB group). Looking forward to getting into iRacing when i sort my new setup in the new year. Think you can find a bit more time in T2 however, open the corner up and take a later apex perhaps? Still, congrats on the growth and KUTGW.

VR is good on these because you can 'peek' if the front wing is damaged. :) I like these because the downforce. I always struggle with GTE and especially GT3. Even HPD feels 'loose' after these. Of course also weight is big thing on GTE/GT3 compared to these.
@jonharrison81305 жыл бұрын
I am the same as yourself. I can't get my driving style to mesh with GT cars, I have a style that suits downforce cars much more than GT's. I sometimes watch Dave and wonder how he gets the laptimes he does in GT's, a lot of it is patience and I don't have any......LOL. Too late on the brakes and too early on the throttle.
@jonharrison81305 жыл бұрын
Get In!!!!! This is what I like to see. Brands Hatch is always dicey as it so narrow with so many high speed corners. At least at 3.9K you're against racers who play clean. Imagine a race in the 1.5k band.....LOL
@jonharrison81305 жыл бұрын
Hoping that you do next week, Canada is always fun and the racing is generally much cleaner than Brands. Spent this morning setting up for it so it should be great fun come Tuesday.

@Dave Cam I really enjoy your content and use your track guide videos quite often even though i drive in Asseto Corsa. Just wondering if you ever consider doing a occasional drive again in SRS - Sim Racing System. I know the racing isnt always the same standard as iRacing and it can be frustrating but its still a great place for people to start their simracing careers and having popular guys like you drive there is always nice. I hope to see you on track in SRS some day.

F3 lap1 heroes are my biggest complaint with this series. Seems most drivers have no practice and end up ruining other players' races.
@jonharrison81305 жыл бұрын
Very true Conrad, There is little appreciation of the Aero aspect of the cars and cold tyres. When running so close at the start people tend to brake as if the cars upto temp and the wings have clean air on them. This leads to a lot of the rear end shunts. A lack of practice also doesn't help where cars run close to each other, drivers don't have the confidence to take different lines through corners and there is a big tendency for people to turn in on the apex even when there is a car there. This is one of the reasons I am liking Dave doing some of these kind of vids. No one can say Dave's not a competent racer or fair, so if he has issues its something we need to think about as a wider community. As disscussed between a few of us on Scott Mansel's channel there is not enough room given at the beginning of races where all the cars are so close and the servers struggle a little with everyones position, a lot of the first lap issues are netcode related and wouldn't happen if people gave adequate room to each other.

Hello :) it is possible to combine Thrustmaster T500 with CSL Elite Pedals LC Thanks for the answer

Yes it is. You would probably need the Fanatec USB adapter to use the pedals seperately. This can be bought on their website for around 25 Euros if I remember rightly.
