Austin, no instructional video will help people on iRacing not being dicks. People are dicks, end of. Some people are latent dicks and they become dicks on the internet, some are full time dicks. Nothing is going to change that unfortunately. Whoever wants to learn will find the way but most of the time, dicks choose to be right every single time.

This video should be mandatory for every driver before an endurance race, in the sense that you can't join the session unless you watch it til the end :D

That last tip is super helpful for every race, I think I've set myself expectations and felt let down at times and not known why even when I have got a good result. But to perform at 100% as the expectation is perfect!

Great video! "You have to leave-a the space." needs to be a meme. I also loved the advice about not having expectations and simply trying to perform your best, regardless of the result. I learned that from watching Dave Cam, and I've been a much happier and more successful racer ever since.

Awesome tips Dan! It's easy to be fast but the real skill is to be safe as well. Unfortunately, I see it too many times over my 1st year on iRacing. Not a whole lot racers really hone in or practice that skill. Hopefully that will change. Thanks again for all your effort in the sim racing community!

The biggest example of point 1 is the roadcourse races with VW Jetta Ford Mustang and mazda Miata. Totally different braking and gas pedal strategy between the cars. Miata drivers never understand why the Mustangs brake harder in zones. To be successful driver you need to appreciate each cars differences. Dont hit them in the back, expect the brake and use against them

Racing Etiquette, please do a general entire video or series on Racing Etiquette. This is the one major issue I see that causes more problems than anything. People in all Racing disciplines have this problem and if you don't know what respect is on track why are you paying for iracing.

Alot of the LMP2 drivers will just drive directly into you if you stay on line. At lower splits LMP2 drivers think its the GT classes job to lift or move off the line.

get into leagues speak to other guys in teams and you might just get in 1 sitting around in officials does nothing in terms of getting into a team

@@bradleyhulse1579 Not true, perform in officials and teams get into touch with you. That's also how we scout sometimes ;)
@KF2NationalKartcrg3 жыл бұрын
@@MCAkaramba Depends on so much, looking at my teams past and other teams that I'm in touch with from big and small, the scouting is done broad and wide - But a hugely important factor, besides the obvious, is also to be a guy/girl with the right personality and mindset for the job.. Yes, you would want someone who is fast and hungry for the wins and the work that goes into it, but you also need the person that you can trust and rely on and who is able to fit the team the best. In some ways, that's easier with leagues, because you race the same guys over and over and learn who they are and how they drive and that's where @Bradley Hulse has a point. Regulars in officials will also get noted, but it's way easier to find first ground in the leagues IMO.
@MCAkaramba3 жыл бұрын
@@KF2NationalKartcrg yeah you are right. There are more ways to get noticed. From the guys we scout, leagues or officials or other ways, we always have a minimum 2 month trial phase to see if everything fits and suits from both sides ;)
