Wow, that jabbing at the throttle when going by Ty Dillon, very interesting driving style. I know Ayrton Senna had the same strategy when passing, jabbing the throttle.
@shodancat10004 жыл бұрын
It's not really about jabbing the throttle, it's about controlling the car when taking it off the racing line to pass
@jeffreyvences57464 жыл бұрын
Senna didn't do the jabbing of the throttle to pass. He did it all the time to gain 2 tenths every corner. That was his driving style. At the expense of quicker tyre wear but it's what separated him from the rest óf the field!!

Lol I don't know shit about video games, I thought it was just simulating the bumps. Didn't realize that he was actually jabbing the throttle
@mindofmyown3334 жыл бұрын
Pedigree 1-2-3 it’s both. iRacing uses laser scanner tracks that are extremely close to the real track. Real life drivers usually remark about how iRacing has the subtle bumps and track characteristics that you only know if you’ve driven the track. Kyle’s driving rig also appears to have the ability to move around a bit to simulate weight shift and bumps

Shawn Kueppers the vibrations from the wheel to give a sense of shaking in the wheel, is actually now shaking the whole rig because it’s all connected, though I think that kinda helps with the immersion at least for the nascar racing.
@DonkeyEvo4 жыл бұрын
My guess is he has some type of buttkicker setup to help introduce seat of the pants sensations and is likely where a lot of that noise is coming from. I could be wrong, but many real world drivers need additional items to help feel things they normally do inside the car. Sim racers rely more on sound and visual cues as well as more on the feel in the wheel itself.

I watched the iRacing Nascar race on TV last week. It was pretty cool. Something to help everyone feel some kinda normal. I'd actually get into it. But have nothing to be able to do iRacing. Much less the space for things. I use to race micro sprints. Always had a lot of fun racing. Though iRacing is in the virtual world. It's very realistic , competitive and fun. So , I'd definitely do it , if I was able to.

I'm 33 and have been sim racing since I was maybe 16-17. I've taken iRacing oval racing extremely seriously over the past few years, though I've been taking a break from it for a couple months now. It is the realest thing you can experience outside of being in the real car. The way the cars behave, how competitive it can get at the highest levels in the sim, setting up the cars in order to be fast short run vs long run, etc. With how crazy the world is right now, it really makes me stoked to see NASCAR turn to iRacing to put on some kind of show for fans. For people who've never had any interest in Sim Racing or even knew it existed, I'm sure it's probably somewhat strange to them. After all, at it's core, it's a video game and a lot of NASCAR's fan base are in older age groups who weren't brought up around gaming like the later generations. But if they give it a chance, I think they can get some enjoyment out of it. Bottom line is, NASCAR is doing something instead of nothing. I will be there with bells on to watch you guys at Texas on the sim. Seeing a sim I love getting national attention on Fox Sports last weekend was an awesome feeling. NASCAR was already involved with the championship series on the sim, but this is another level. It's just a shame it took a pandemic for it to happen.

Kyle, I don't know if you have access to the folks who schedule these races, but if you do, tell them that there are more possibilities than just going to the tracks you already go to. You could bring back NASCAR's past in the form of going to Nashville, North Wilkesboro, Rockingham, or Riverside. You could try out tracks that the Cup series has never been to like Circuit of the Americas or Iowa Speedway (also Road America, but the Cup series technically visited that track in 1956. Tim Flock was the winner.) You could even go overseas to tracks like Circuit de la Sarthe (home of the 24 Hours of Le Mans) or the original Nurburgring. If you must go to another oval, go to Twin Ring Motegi. You could do the oval and road course on consecutive days. It's not like Fox Sports 1 has anything else going on.

Is that wheel movement actual feed back from the realism of the track or the car? That sawing motion one would think could upset the car and cause a spin out. Secondly are the marks..the same as the real track
@jontracey78324 жыл бұрын
FLY EAGLES FLY Bleed Green the tracks a laser scanned to the millimeter, any imperfection at the time of the scan will translate to the steering wheel in the game. The wheel is sawing like that because on the other end of the steering wheel by his feet is prolly a 15-20 nm electric motor that transfers the imperfection of the track and the grip and attitude of the car thru the wheel. So it’s -“as realistic as can be had on the open market.
