I had a thought so did a very questionable experiement, Does Your Sim Effect Lap Times, in conclusion yes but i think the cars were different spec more then just the gearbox, part 2 coming soon . . .

I'm going to re-do this experiment with an identical car in the near future as i believe there is more then just a different gearbox between the 2 cars, but as of now, yes the simulator you use effects your speed. If you have any car suggestions then feel free to comment below - JakeUK
