Two flaws in this documentary: 1. The surveyor gave a wrong explanation on BLEVE, if LPG refrigeration fails there would only be a loss of product which is usually vented or flared and for BLEVE other conditions must be met. 2. It had a mission to demonstrate that the main motivation of fighting Sadam invading troops for Iranians was religious, leaving patriotism out totally.

In the war they produced all their own missiles. The west had an embargo on them. Despite being able to obtain weapons in secretive ways from countries around the globe, this was no enough to meet their needs...so they decided to start producing whatever the west denied them through sanctions. They broke apart the equipment that they had from the time of the shah and reverse engineered it. One of these things was their ballistic missiles and their anti-ship missile systems.

Read correct resources about who got severe damage. Khumaini said in his acceptance UN 598 to stop the war, " it is like drinking a cup of poison". Iran had around million people killed in the war because they used madly human waves to attack Iraqi front lines and that caused them million of peple killed and the economy and oil infrastructure had damaged as well. Human life is certainly interesting. Both sides fighting a war and killing each and praying to the same god for victory. Both talk to the same god for victory, to defeat the enemy who also happens prays to the same god for the same thing. They get victory or death, which are good outcomes as the foreign minister guy said. The other side also gets the same outcome since it's one of two options.

the translation from 12:55 to 13:28 is completely wrong. the mullah is talking about the damages that saddam has inflicted to Iran and Iranian people and stating it as the reason why they are not going to negotiate with him, yet the translation utterly describes something else about religious beliefs and martyrdom. i know the report was trying really hard to depict us Iranians and primitive fundamentalist savages but next time use more subtle and professional tactics than deliberate mistranslating. very shameful for the British "journalists" involved in making this report
