Iran gave 72 hrs heads-up so that preparations for the defence could be made. Therefore it is logical to assume that it was a show of force rather than a pre-emptive strike. The Western allies of Israel unfortunately cannot in their minds fathom this as being what it was. If Bibi attacks Iran in retaliation this will be construed as almost an insult after the injury of the extrajudicial assassination of the tope generals and their military underlings in Syria...I would not want to be on the receiving end of a resolute Iran even though its capabilities are orders of magnitude less than those of Israel and clearly less sophisticated to boot. The reading of the 72 hour heads up, is exactly that: a show of force and a warning.

The attack was completely ineffective as was predicted, and the only thing it proved is that there would be no "next time" in the foreseeable future. 12:30 the number of drones, cruise missile and ballistic missiles launched are given by Israel, who likely exaggerate numbers in order to make it seem they shot down more than they did. Iran showed the launch of about 20 ballistic missiles of which 9 got though, 5 hitting Nevatim Air Force Base. There were only one or two intercepts of Ballistic missiles filmed. That's an intercept rate of just under 50%.

I , personally condemning both countries , but first Israel acted in violation of the Vienna convention , then Iran has the right to self-defence according to international Law under article 51 of the UN Charter . On April 3 , the UK , France and US blocked the UN Security Council from condemning and blaming Israel’s attack on Iran’s embassy compound in Syria , so I don’t see the reason why we shouldn’t properly investigate on this conflict before any condemnation on the ground , at the moment , Iran is acting in self-defence Like any other country should do . Let diplomacy prevail on this matter .
