IRAN - SOLTANIYEH, A World Heritage Site

IRAN - The Wonderland!
The Citadel and the Dome of Soltaniyeh were built in 1312 CE. The dome is the mausoleum of Oljaitu, the Persianized Mongol Ruler of Ilkhanate. The dome is the 3rd biggest brick dome in the world, and it's double-shelled dome design technique was also used by the Italian Architect, Brunelleschi, on the Dome of Florence (The Duomo).
Near Soltaniyeh there's is the Temple of Daash Kassan, A 2000+ years old Mithraic temple which also includes a Buddhist temple (in IRAN?!) along side an Islamic place of worship - 3 temples inside one another and side-by-side!
This is all duo to the fact that Oljaitu, the Mongol ruler, was a Christian, Buddhist, Sunni, and Shi'a Moslim at different periods of his life

Good Question! In this video I only pointed out that Oljaitu's mother was a Christian (Armenian), because any further detail would've taken the audience off the subject track. I'll try to give a short answer about the tombstone here: - The history of Persia and Armenia is 2500+ years long and very intertwined - Please watch the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5vNmImomtabg5o - Before the Mongols attack there was an Armenians population living in this area (soltaniyeh). - The Mongol ruler married an Armenian woman, and Oljaitu was their son. - Around 2007 this gravestone was discovered within the perimeters of Soltaniyeh, followed by the discovery of an Armenian cemetery. One additional note about the gravestone you see in the video - It dates back between 1206 - 1405, and the Armenian inscription reads: "Jesus, the only born to Father, when the time arrives and you return the sleeping soul of the decedent …” The rest of the inscription at the bottom is damaged
