First of all, Iran did not play better than Portugal. Portugal played a tactical game, because Portugal wants to win the World Cup, not just to win a game or to pass to the nest phase. People want to see Portugal perfoming like in past world cups to give a good show of footbal, but this time we are for win, not for the best perfomance or to please the audience. Ronaldo is trying to enter in the hall of legends, pushing his team to the full glory. He is not in the World Cup to score formidable goals, but to win the world title and the title of best player of the world again. Secondly, merit must be given to the iranian goalkeeper for the penalty. Also, he jumped ilegaly 1 or 2 steps, Schmeichel being a former gk knows exaclty what he did. He get away with it, the portuguese goalkeepers to the same thing. Maybe FIFA should start using VAR to stop this. Thirdly, Iran benefited from a ridiculous penalty. In the Argentia-Nigeria the same type of situation, no penalty. FIFA must fix this by setting a criteria for these situations.

hey carlos, with respect i completely disagree with you, iran suffocated portugal, ronaldo was a bystander most of the game specially after iran started to play more relaxed and took the game to portugal. two penalties were given that never was and one penalty was not given that there was, ronaldo should have been sent off and when you think about the step up in class and the ocasion where teams like portugal are used to on a almost daily basis, iran couldn't get any friendly game of any substance due to sanctions, nike would not give them boots and the list goes on......................... yet FIFA and it's corrupt officials had to run to portugal's aid and still they could not beat iran. everyone including the portugal players know who won and that my friend has got to be iran, they made portugal look ordinary and the only, only way to score had to be by magic, no other keeper could or would have saved that. i'm sorry dude but it's true, who would you say won the game if you were not from portugal and who would you say won the iran spain game? iran was robbed my friend and to me FIFA the protector of football just murdered football!!
