this guy says "Pogba got an easy goal." What?? That's effin ridiculous. Pogba set up that entire sequence (with a great flick back from Mbappe) with, IMO, the most audacious 30 meter pass I can remember in recent world cups and then went end to end, then had to reflex react to a rebound off his first shot, then judge in a split second where the goalkeeper was leaning towards, and guide it in the other way with his weaker foot. This guy on the left is a quack. It's ridiculous how people go from suggesting the penalty award was unfair to France got two easy subsequent goals. The momentum was in Croatia's favor after the tieing goal. You know it and the only unaducated don't know it. Referee saved France twice . First rewarding a dive and second rewarding a accidental hand ball. Please don't argue with facts. France won because of a fix that you young minds don't understand yet. It's extremely hard to notice this. I spend watching soccer and playing sence i was 5 glued to the tv. I could do things nobody even today can do and know all because of countless hours watching and studying movements, reactions, abilities, sight , ability to predict moves in advance and so on. I work as a timekeeper for a Sport complex in Canada, Winnipeg. France won at the end but i wish they weren't helped. 1. Never listen to a goalkeeper's opinion when it comes to a penalty call 2. Plenty of videos online showing that the ball trajectory would have landed in a pack of 3 French players for one Croatian. MBappe and Umtitti were on the trajectory and chances for a goal were as high as it gets 3. Intentional or not, that is penalty. End of the debate 4. At 2-1, Croatia had the ressources and mental to come back. They showed it in all previous games) 5. Croatia couldn't prevent France from scoring another two in 6 minutes 6. Croatia can thank Lloris for gifting them a second goal and thank Pogba for missing an easy volley that should have been a fifth goal 7. France did not have a good first half because Kante was sick. As soon as he got subbed at 53', France got back in the game as it should have been from the start CONCLUSION Croatia was a very good team. Seems pretty obvious the VAR was used to rig the win for France. Croatia's momentum was clearly destroyed by botched handball call by the biased/incompetent Argentinian referee. The ref was acting very dodgy and nervous during video review, which may indicate he was coerced by the boys upstairs into bagging the call. Which he promptly went on to do. Basically, we ended up seeing more FIFA shenanigans, which we have come to expect when political issues such as multiculturalism are at play. Slap an asterisk on this World Cup, since it was more gifted than earned. Not exactly the first time this has happened. And knowing our old good friend FIFA, it will not be the last.

Schmeichel is 100% correct. Without the first 2 undeserving France goals ,we would have had a different game 1-0 Croatia going into the second half. Huge difference ! It's a pen the ball's trajectory is hindered by Perisic's hand I don't even see how it's a controversy. Meanwhile the free kick was a dreadful display of marking and defending on Croatia's part, and they can only blame themselves for scoring an own goal. Regardless, 95% of Croatia's attacks were utterly sterile, the exception being of course a stunning goal from Perisic, and Lloris gifted them a second to cling on. Schmeichel is 100% biased. First goal was due to an obvious foul (just watch it again). Second goal was due to hand ball - the fact that the hand ball was not intentional is not the only critetia... the direction of the ball is a greater criteria. The ball was on his way towards the goal, more precisely, towards Grizu who was there in front of the goal. The hand ball changed the direction of the ball. If the ball was directed away from the goal towards a corner, then the unintentional hand ball shouldn't have been a penalty. The penalty was a 100% just call.Forther more, Croatia, which played nicely (respect!) barely made it to the finals - they won twice by penalties... more luck than merit. France won all the way to the top.Croatia got very very lucky not to meet Belgium on their path to the final, because if they did, they would have lost to Belgium - Belgium is a better team.Not to mention that if France had a proper striker (Giroud was lousy), the score would have been higher.Croatia should be proud of their achievments.

Referee issues are part of the game. True champions can deal with that. If you're devastated because of a referee issue, then you don't deserve to win. Reff should have overrulled it as for a penallty of hand ball there has fo be intention but there was not. As for first goal of France player offside and is involved in actionand Griezman dove. The French are proud of their citizens born in France of foreign born parents: these players were born in France, speak French, were trained and raised in France and wouldn't be able to live in the countries mentioned. No-one questions the multiple immigrant origins of American players (South or North) why question those of a country that has massive immigration like France? Football recruits its players in poorer neighborhoods with lots of immigrants. Immigrants have been shown to be a more dynamic sector of society with more upward mobility than their native sociological equivalents. Big European nations have lots of immigrants and their youth is of mixed origin. Mbappe is a wonderful example: his father is from Cameroon (and has a German first name), his mother is from Algeria (possibly second generation already) and he feels 100% French and is perceived as such. How else would you have it? How does their origin belittle the victory or diminish the aura of French football? Or was that not the point? What was the point? As for the final game, I regret the arbitration on the "hand" - at the time it appeared to me to be a "hand on the ball" with a decisive effect on its trajectory but as a referee I would not have called it so as not to disproportionately reverse the dynamics of the game (because I think it was unintentional). By such a drastic decision, he stole the victory away not so much from Croatia (I understand that Croatians can feel that way) but from France: too many people doubt unfairly that France deserves the victory. It was deliberate and intentional as most defenders would instinctively put their arms behind their back or close to the chest if they really want to follow the rules and to not be judged in violation of the rules but instead we saw Perisic obviously instinctively FLAILED his arm in attempt to at least alter the trajectory of the ball EXACTLY like previously VAR punished PKs in the tourney such as Umtiti's or Pique's.
