The ultimatum to Saddam and Iraq had nothing to do with weapons of mass destruction. Demand was for Iraq to stop their occupation of Kuwait and leave or else face the consequences. And we all know what Saddam choose.

Yes. I was 11 when 9/11 happened and 13 when the bombing raid happened over Baghdad. I vividly remember watching this in my parents living room. The reason I'm here now is because I have work colleagues who are too young to remember or weren't even born yet when these events took place, and I find that mad. I know I was a kid when all this went down, but I swear everything changed after 9/11. I remember police with guns everywhere, and I swear that energy has never left. It's like we've been on a high level of alert since then.

I was a little bit older; I was in high school. 9/11 and the Iraq war reminds me of MTV. I used to watch mainly MTV and they used to talk a lot about the wars. It’s interesting how much the country changed because everyone was more patriotic back then than they are now.

Saddam hussein(dictator of iraq) invaded kuwait unprovoked, took hostages, abused and killed kuwait civilians, and after several attempts of diplomacy and economic sanctions, saddam did not do anything. These attacks were coodinated with HI-TECH computers calculating where the bombs wre gonna drop. anyway to only hit specific military targets. Maybe do some research next time.

So the only clown here is you. Also, the attack was pre planned with Hi-Tech american technology so only saddams palaces and military facilities were hit by the bombs.

I was born in Baghdad in 2006. One day, my mom went to buy groceries when a bomb exploded nearby. Thankfully, she was unharmed. Shaken, she rushed home, witnessing people and women with severe injuries, their blood covering the streets. My grandfather, born in between the 1926 has lived through multiple wars. He once shared with my parents a horrific experience: walking down a street littered with headless bodies and blood. The US-led invasion, sparked by suspicions of Iraq's possession of weapons of mass destruction, left over 1 million innocent civilians dead. Yet, those responsible departed without apology. Shame on those who stood against us.

Lets not overdo it. USA also had reasons to attack certain nations in the Middle East. Also. The twin towers didnt get wiped out for no reason. You think if you attack the Kremlin that you wouldn't have Russia on your back? You think if you attack Beijing that China won't attack you? No. It was maybe for you a great great wonderful spectacle that Twin Towers fell. But also it's the same USA who didn't let any of that slip. And look at this footage. This footage is terrifying. USA has bizar powerdisplay, and most likely this is nothing compared to what they are really capable of. Anyway. My own opinion is that USA shouldn't have attacked Iraq. Also noone should have attacked USA. But American democracy has nothing to do with the fact they attacked. There are 100 democracies in the world and most of them are either pacifist or too pacifist.

Baghdad fell in 2003 during the Iraq War. In early April of the same year, U.S. forces invaded and occupied Baghdad. Three weeks after the invasion began, U.S. forces were able to take control of the capital and topple the Iraqi regime. On April 9, 2003, the United States declared victory and occupied Baghdad.[1][1][2][2] This event had a significant impact on the history of Iraq and the region in general. 😢😢😢😢🇮🇶

I don't disagree with your assessment about Saddam; he probably would have pulled a Hitler if he could have. I do disagree with your conclusion. A more developed/ moral nation has the responsibility to be the better nation. Look what Israel is doing in Gaza right now. They are giving the civilians plenty of time to leave the city before they invade. This just simply doesn't happen in warfare. Despite all of this the world still criticizes Israel and accuses them of commiting genocide. What did people say about the US destroying Baghdad over night? Nothing!
