Ircam's TheSnail is something different. It goes way beyond what other audio and music tuner apps do. Here's an exclusive video interview with its creator at NAMM 2017.

this is incredible. Question please - if i need to tune an output file exactly to lets say 400hz, 500hz etc, can i do that by simply putting this on the master? thans a ton.

but...what's the use of the snail?? can you tune out of tune instruments? like melodyne? it has polyphonic detection and tuning???

The purpose is not to tune any sound source but to analyze their tuning, and then fine tune the actual sound source itself :-) The Snail doesn't affect sound. Only analyzes and visualizes.

It's $20 now for a short time, but they did a poor job of explaining what exact problem was being solved (or job to be done). Tuning to the fundamental is certainly sufficient. Knowing harmonics in this context does what exactly? Look cool? So what? Knowing notes in chords or harmonics is nice perhaps, but again, what problem or question does it solve that isn't already known easily by other means?
