One thing I think is silly is the language requirement for the PGWP. All should be CLB 7, why are college students getting a lower CLB requirement it should be the same for ALL international students.

That is a lame excuse, length of PGWP has nothing to do with language ability. You are looking to work in a country that speaks English & French so you should have a high level of either one or both languages. How are you going to properly communicate with your coworkers or customers?

Yes! Caps should also be instituted for each nation. All paperwork needs to be properly vetted including these English/French competency tests (possibly have an oral examination on entry - too many have cheated this system as well!!!) Any peculiarities further investigated and visas cancelled if info provided is fraudulent!! Enough BS!!!

Thank you for this. I am a perfect fit the new Manitoba stream. I also have a cousin that has PR and presently lives there. My English exam expires middle of this year though so I hope the criteria opens up soon.

How on earth does one transform from an international student into a refugee claimant? (6.29). The system has been gamed/abused for way too long by Indians. IRCC shld simply just reject ALL applications by students for refugee-status & send them back home. The abuse of Canada's hospitality is enuf!

Happy New Year. I am an international masters student in Alberta with my wife holding a spousal open work permit but our kids are back in our home country. I will complete school in April 2025 but am gathering that the main applicant to a Post Graduation Work Permit needs a job offer between TEER 0 to 3 to be able to include dependents (extending my wife SOWP and bringing my kids). Can you please confirm with your reliable sources for me even though I do not see such information on the Canada official website. Thanks in advance for your help.

Agree, they keep inviting out land young pp with PR just to spend money, pay tax, keep finding a job, run out of money, and then end up with doing a labour work or back home. On the other hand, they let pp, who having job but score not that high due to their criteria, go back home, for example Age!!, even you have 3 years of experience with Master Degree also can’t beat the unemployed young pp.
