Yep did exactly that. Leaned too far down and slid out and pulled my MCL. Lucky for me I had on knee braces so only six weeks off the bike and physio. Was great fun up till then sliding around though.

Yessss real talk. Hard packed turns definitely kryptonite for me especially with a little gravel on top. Just raced Virginia city and first turn of the race was this type of turn exactly and slid out. Thanks for the video coach.

Thanks for making this video! Much underserved topic across KZbin. Here in the S. AZ desert, loose over hard or deep sand is the norm. Don't think I've ever seen a rut. Sure would love to see a video on cornering in deep sand.

I do fairly good adapting to the different area's and guess I'm so use to it that I dont think about the little things. These videos help me pick up something different, thanks. Now go find some mud😊

Great point about tires Rich! Coming from a Moto background and just trail riding bike set up the tires make a huge difference in the way they break loose compared to a grippy tire. It can take some time to get used to. I can say my brief time racing flat track as a kid helped me a lot in all aspects of riding. Likewise I think motocross riders would benefit a lot from trials and hardenduro ideas.

Be cool see a comparison video for the irc tires. There like 6-8 different front and rears. Like hear how hold up and what characteristics they have along with what terain best in.

Rich, can I ask you what front tire you would recommend to pair with the VE33S Gekkota? I'm loving the rear but have yet to find a perfect pair for the front. I'm a mixed rider, but tend towards the slow and technical but still do some XC racing. I run Tubliss on both ends of the bike. Thank you for always putting out great content dude. You're an inspiration to many!

Hey Rich. Love your videos. Maybe offer up a friendly reminder to your viewers. When you focus on skills and clutch control you need to replace your clutch oil more often than just trail riding. I couldn’t figure out what was happening with my skills till I popped the cap off and found black clutch oil. Fresh works much better! 😂. On the bike. I’d like to know if you are a mousse user or tubes or what for your riding. Thanks again.

What about a video about drifting/power sliding around softer corners and sweepers in motocross? Impressive when riders can do this and not rely on berms and ruts. You do an amazing job of breaking things down and explaining them. I’ve also seen this referred to as as steering with the rear wheel but not a lot of videos on it.
