When a contemporary singer does a re-make of an oldie, he or she will all-too-often screw it up by changing it drastically in order to make it their own. Even though Ireen is a very talented singer, her version of this great Patti Paige hit is unfortunately a typical example of how to ruin a classic. By contrast, the Belgian singer Lisa Del Bo regularly does covers of many oldies (available on KZbin) and actually surpasses the originals-See “Lisa Del Bo Tennessee Waltz KZbin" to hear a fantastic cover in High German but, otherwise, very faithful to the original.

Bollocks! This is a great version as soon as i heard it i loved it, even though i cant speak German. You will have to loosen up my friend this adds a new dynamic to the original .It doesn't compete with the original because it does not need to - its a dance version to get people grooving. Lighten up!

If you're going to critique some artist and compare them to another, you should at least post the link as well. Plus Irene Sheer's version is more of a Dancing version (Disco), not a cover or tribute to the original.
