The 90% comment is garbage. Ireland played great and it took an absolutely immense Allblack performance to put them down. How about some credit where it’s due?! Not kicking for points, sextons missed penalty, kicking out of hand too much, line and scrum not functioning. All blacks down 1 for 20 mins. We deserved to lose - ABs better team on the day. Well done to he men on black. Ireland were 60-70% of what have been. They were tired from last 2 important games. They looked fatigued like ABs in semis 2019 and got knocked out by England. ABs will feel this next week. Ireland had most difficult path. BUT all said and done a BIG Congratulations to ABs 🇳🇿 much better on the day.

To say Ireland we're not at 90% is ridiculous....It's because of pressure put on them by the other side. A lot of people dismissed the AB's but this team is building. They too, were not at their best. The recent losses are no more than yesterdays fish and chip paper .Two more very hard games ahead for them. They haven't won it yet but are starting track nicely...providing they can control their discipline and keep players on the field. Commiserations to ireland. Ample opportunites when the ABs were down to 14 for 20min of this game but the game plan by the ABs never allowed them to take advantage of that. Full credit New Zealand. Showed they are still the best rugby team in the world. Ireland had the chance to win at the end. This was a brilliant, titanic test match between two evenly matched teams. New Zealand fully deserved though. The quarter final curse may live on for another 4 years at least, but I'm so proud of everything this team has achieved. No doubt this is the one that got away though, the best chance because I'm certain they would have beaten an average Argentina side and gotten to the final. The actual fact of the matter is, Ireland played to the best that they could today, the start of the game where the All Blacks attacked for 30 phases & came away with points & a lead that they wouldn't relinquish & Ireland at the end with 37 phases but couldn't score is a testament to the coaching of the All Blacks, they weren't overly stretched at anytime during those last 37 attacking phases from Ireland, they simply knew what was coming next, they read the block runners, the round the corners & more importantly, they read Johnny. That was Ireland at their best, but it was the All Blacks playing at the top of their game too, the work they have clearly put in to allow them to come up with and execute a defensive system specifically geared to shutting down the Irish attacking system is astonishing in both its design & implementation on the paddock by this outstanding All Blacks team & coaching squad. There was another spell during the 2nd half where Ireland were building phases but were getting read by the All Blacks where Johnny tried a wee chip into space, the chasers were a step behind which allowed Beauden Barrett time to mop up, evade 2 tacklers & kick safely into touch near halfway, allowing again the All Blacks to reset, that was a telling moment, it was something we just haven't seen from Johnny. So really, to claim that Ireland weren't at their best is disappointing.

Ireland have been way too confident these past 24 months, borderline arrogant. I'm a French neutral, and it's difficult for me to understand that when basically you've never done anything at Rugby World Cups. To think you arrive as favorites against NZ in a World Cup game decider and practically gloat about it when frankly you've beaten them 3 or 4 times in 100 years is astonishing. We also have currently a great rugby team in France but we don't behave that way. And our pedigree at World Cups is better than that of Irelands. Never underestimate a 3-time World Champion, especially NZ. Ireland played 20 minutes with an extra man, but were never in front. They were always chasing the game, and were beaten and well beaten. Ireland is an incredibly well oiled machine, which is both an asset and a flaw. Because your game becomes robotic, you don't surprise anyone. You play like a machine but you can't adapt to changing situations, mainly being behind all game. They lack that genius "spark" than both NZ and France have. I am absolutely convinced Ireland lacked humility, even if they'll never admit it. Farrell has arrogance written all over him.

Was in the stadium tonight, dressed in green, ready to cheer on Ireland (as a France fan here). The disrespect the Irish fans showed New Zealand during the haka and during the penalty kicks disgusted me. Ireland fans have always been the best fans showing respect to the other team, cheering the other's anthems, dead silence during the penality kicks, etc. What has happened to you? I expected Ireland to win the World Cup this time around. Once I heard the fans disrespecting the Haka, I knew they were done, the soul had left the body. Shameful behaviour of the fans and I guess the karma was that even playing against a team of 14 players for 20 minutes there was not going to be a victory. Sad to see Sexton's last World Cup played for fans who thought they were at a football match.

World Rugby needs to fix this mess. Top 4 teams should be spread across the pools to almost ensure that they will not meet before semifinals. World rugby and qualifying teams should be allowed to make provisional flight and accommodation bookings and then World Rugby does the pool announcements only 6 months before the World Cup.
