Labour coming in to power in 1997 pretty much guaranteed what enoch Powell had been warning against. That year was the beginning of the end for the united kingdom. Gordon brown was quoted saying the plan was to rub the rights nose in diversity. Well they certainly achieved that. That's for dam sure

Great Britain told the peoples of the countries they colonised that Britain was now their homeland, not their place of birth. Those thus colonised cannot be criticised for returning 'home', which they have done in their tens of millions. In the decades since, those immigrants have changed the fabric of Great Britain, and it's up to those who live there to determine how that's all worked out for them.

The Windrush generation refers to people who migrated to the UK from Caribbean countries between 1948 and 1973. The term comes from the HMT Empire Windrush, which arrived at Tilbury Dock on June 22, 1948 carrying 492 Caribbean migrants. The Windrush generation are entitled to live in the UK permanently, but many faced difficulties proving their right to do so. This led to the Windrush scandal, a political scandal that began in 2018. The scandal involved: People being wrongly detained, denied legal rights, and threatened with deportation People being denied access to employment, healthcare, and other services People having their passports confiscated People being refused re-entry to the UK The Windrush scandal was caused by a failure to recognize that immigration and citizenship law changes since 1948 had affected Black people differently than other racial and ethnic groups. The Windrush scandal led to the resignation of Amber Rudd as Home Secretary in April 2018. The government has since launched inquiries into the Windrush compensation scheme. The UK commemorates the contributions of migrants to the post-war economy on Windrush Day, which is held on June 22.

That was then and when talk shows ruled the tv. That was the entertainment of it's day. Not so much now at all. It appears to have moved online, podcasts, vlogs etc. Never has one been surrounded by so many self styled experts who aren't famous but firmly believe they are. They have their own channel to view on sites such as this and interview other unknowns and have the most extraordinary opinions on anything. The public, many of them, choosing to believe conspiracies from people, (strangers ) online and that if one was sat next to a person on a train or waiting for a bus and a person (stranger) talked their conspiracies out loud, people I would imagine would feel uncomfortable. Though this is accepted online it appears. Extraordinary.

It's such a sorry state of affairs here in Britain today. Nobody will stand up, nobody will speak out and nothing will be done. Years of being told we should be accepting of others whilst being told we should be ashamed of our own culture and history. Years of being told the Union Jack represents colonialism whilst being encouraged to fly the flags others, years of having to accept the colonisation of our towns and cities whilst we are forced to give grovelling apologies for our colonial history ,which most of don't condone and none of us are guilty of. Years of us being told that when we go there we are "colonizers" but when they come here it is "multiculturalism". All of those years have beaten down British pride in our culture to point were our own capitol city, our own, beautiful London, that our Grandparents fought for is now barely inhabited by the English. We have labelled those who have stood up as hateful far right Nazis. So I'm sorry to say that there are no longer any "stiff Englishmen". Just emasculated men, who dare not show pride in their flag, country ,culture and history, for fear of being labeled a bigot.. I wonder where all these newcomers will go when Britain is just like the places they fled from in the first place.. Sad sad times.

The cancel culture in American society today has all but ensured that interviews like this will never be allowed to happen in the future. @@MetalCooking666 I think the answer to that would be, that the main problems of the changing demographics, are not racial in nature, more cultural. An immigrant can be of the same race as me, but of a different culture, or religion. If they assimilate into our society, or if the numbers are low, then less problems arise, but, if the numbers are too high, then groups are formed which don't assimilate, and social cohesion is lost. Instead of having a cohesive British cultural identity, we have a fragmented society, that doesn't share common values, and is divided. @@infamous41st3 haha no, its not that talk show hosts were better, its just that people had a lot more time for racists back them. You wouldn't have noticed it if you were white but there was far more racism towards black and brown people and white people were far more than happy to tolerate racism. A known racist on national TV.... was the sort of stuff that got ratings! So ofcourse they let me speak, don't delude yourself, that was the only reason

@@pierzing.glint1sh76 The whole point of coming on a talk show and having a discussion is to hear both sides, nowadays the host will over talk and cut you off if it’s something that they don’t agree with, has nothing to do with race, it’s about respect.

Enoch Powell was a professor of ancient Greek and Latin at the age of 25. He joined the British army as an enlisted private and worked his way up to Brigadier (one star General) in about 3 or 4 years time. The man was a full blown genius.
