In May 2024, my wife and I took a 1900 mile round trip to Ireland and down part of the Wild Atlantic Way on our motorbikes. It's the first time we've ever visited the Emerald Isle, and was a bit of a whistle stop tour as we only had 8 nights there. It's Sue's second long tour as she has only been riding for a year.
This video is the first episode in a short series of how we got on. Hope you enjoy it!

Thank you so much. We want to go back at some point to do the more northern part too. We loved the areas we did, but didn’t have long enough to explore properly. The more touristy areas can be busy but May was a good time to go. I hope you are as lucky with the weather as we were.

Looks good hope it stays like that for you. I’m doing the southern part of the WWWay in July with my son, I hope I get your weather.

We were very lucky indeed with the weather. We had a bit of a damp start in the next episode, but after that we managed to stay dry, which was a huge surprise 😂. I hope the weather gods smile on you and your son, as it really is quite stunning the further south you get.

Great vid mate well done. Planning to take a group there next year. Missus and I are off to Ireland in July on the bike. Leaving for a 3000 mile trip in the Alps in a couple of days, taking 8. Keep up the good work. 👍 FB oh PS I like the music adds another dimension.😎

Thank you so much. I’m very jealous of your trip to the Alps, but I’m hoping to get there next year. I enjoyed your Scotland vids so I look forward to the ones from the Alps 😁

It was our first visit to Ireland and we were bowled over by the scenery and the warmth of the people. We will definitely go back to explore more. Fingers crossed for the weather for you!

I’m from Larne the ferry port that you arrived at in Northen Ireland. If you had after the first half mile turned off the duel carriage way into Larne town it goes to a roundabout that takes you onto the A2 Coast Road which is regulars as one of the best bikers roads in the world! Very popular now as well as the Game of Thrones was filmed at multiple locations a long its route. In addition if you are into Road Racing it takes you to the world famous NW200 road track at Portrush. Sorry bit of a rant but lots of bikers appear to miss one of the most scenic riding road. But hey I ride it most weeks and I’m biased. Your trip looked fantastic and I hope it’s not long before you guys are back!

Yes, I agree with you entirely. Having to spend a couple of days in Glasgow limited our time a bit, but we will definitely be back to do the northern section. 😁

First time watching your channel; very pleasant and relaxing…..apart from the background music which I found a bit too loud and frantic! Some Irish music would be preferable.

Thank you so much for your comment. I’m very new to this so trying to find my feet with it all. I’ll take on board what you’ve said about the music too. I did try to find some Irish music but there didn’t seem to be much of it available copyright free. I’ll keep on looking 😁
