The abusive malignant narcissist alcoholic ex I divorced after numerous attempts through the years also Uses coercive control with my children and myself. I pray that United States soon makes it illegal He has created so much irreversible damage and destruction to us And will continue his abusive path while always sliding under radar as he further threatens his victims from telling anyone else And gaslights and blameshifts his guilt back onto us As he runs away playing victim

I’m so sorry you and your children are experiencing the living hell that is coercive control. The good news is that California and Hawaii have both adopted legislation against coercive control. New York and South Carolina are currently reviewing bills. Nancy, please consider writing to your local representative, telling them your story and telling them why you and other survivors in your district want coercive control laws. Your power is in your voice. Stay well x M 💛

This is sad. It still takes the focus off men. We are coercively controlled and its socially acceptable. I was coercively controlled by my mum, wife, ex, boss, sister .. I had to suck it up. I had to 'grow some'. And now, at 55, alone, kids gone, career gone, financial health in tatters and only this past 4 months recovered, house gone, social circle gone, USA green card gone, strong stable mental wellbeing and confidence in a mess, physical health recovering. And a statement that pinpoints coercive control to be a male abuser thing that will be used against us.

Most victims are female due to culture, religion & bias. Men can educate young men about pathology as females have done since the 70’s. The law is male biased as rape convictions illustrate, the victim is shamed. Why not set up a refuge for male victims. A legal defence for men is ‘seeing red’ this defence is not applicable for women.the bias is evident, coercive control is nothing new it’s right that it should be made illegal to protect victims of it. It’s not us n them, just so happens most perpetrators are male it’s absurd to deny male privileges that exist under the Law. Marital rape was legal until the 80’s which kind of illustrates the bias. The Law is focussed on men & male dominance we see this with Weinstein Cosby Epstein & other cars of abuse. Most predators are male most victims are women & children, this is a statistic that men like to deny, it doesn’t mean abusive women don’t exist, it’s just a fact

The coercive control legislation protects men, too. The first women convicted of coercive control was Jordan Worth. The reason it’s considered a gendered crime is that it often leads to homicide with 50000 women killed globally every year. What happened to you is terrible and wrong. It was the injustice that inspired my video on female narcissists. The coercive control law applies to male survivors too www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/04/16/controlling-girlfriend-first-woman-convicted-new-domestic-abuse/
@NarcissisticAbuseRehab4 жыл бұрын
@@Lucy-jz7sg Coercive control is gendered for the reasons you mention. There are incidents of of male victim-survivors that the legislation holds space for, which is as it should be.
@ThePowerAndControlWheel4 жыл бұрын
@@Lucy-jz7sg youve just demonstrated a prime example of the minimising men have to endure, the same minimising that women endure. Abuse is non-gender specific in the form of coercive control. Yes, it's right that it should be made illegal .. but not biased. Your comment "most predators are male" is inaccurate. The National Domestic Abuse Hotline, Mankind Initiative, UK legal system to name a few of the main official organisations, have identified in latest research that this is 50/50. They are even suggesting that the number of male victims is far greater .. men do not speak up, they are minimised, not believed, not listened to. A ratio of over 200 women's support services to 1 for men in UK, that's clear bias. Yet, we survivors in general, male and female, recognise this to be a non gender specific issue, and never ever would we minimise the words of those who have been abused .. we understand that it further abuses. "Why dont you set up a mens refuge". Its disgusting. This is the attitude we have to endure. Men may not be physically murdered .. but our lives and spirits are, to the point where many men, more men, commit suicide. I have spent three years supporting male and female victims and survivors of abuse, it doesn't help when we get such minimising comments and attitudes.

Police saved my life when I was 19 and my boyfriend left me locked in our apartment without keys, only because I went out with some friends the night before... 🤦♀️Police told me to go and never come back... Later on situations have arose... Yet police or judges have grounded me to take the right direction... Zero contact... I always recommend to stay by the law, or call the authorities, and finally zero contact... I didn t have children with narc, however, if you don t need the money, simply go away... The strange thing is that often, they don t pay child support... So... Just fly away, please!

Hi there. Thanks for your Channel. What to do when one is made so ill by their narcissistic mother that they are unable to function at all? (Mentally and physically). I mean, there is no escape route at the moment.

@@NarcissisticAbuseRehab I already have. I've been with psychiatrists since i was 19. I am still at her house, and i am 34. I have uncovered, since 1 year, everything to the police, and environment. Now, the revenge (because she has comorbidity with ASPD) is starting to become extremely dangerous (fraud, taxes, falsifying my signature etc.) And me: always more ill, weak, trembling, afraid; The CPTSD is so bad that i've been lying on the floor of the living room over the last 3 years without anyone knowing. Except her. She went from doctor to doctor with me, being "so worried", and nobody could find anything, of course. They at some point thought i have bone cancer because the aches were so bad. Since one year then, i have started to be able to speak, to myself, her, and the outside world. Now, the result: Danger.

@@mioumioutoolate Your situation sounds urgent. Have you spoken to a local domestic violence shelter? They can advise you and help you with a safety plan.

Not everyone will agree with me but I blame the silence on domestic abuse on the church and religious teachings that make the man the head of the house who must be obeyed,women are told they must try harder to please their men if things do not go well in their marriage,as the blame is more often than not put on the woman and men are made to understand they have the right to "discipline" their wives.

Boys and young men need strong, sensible role models to teach them to be responsible and virtuous stewards of masculinity. This as true in families as it is in the institutions that shape our worldview. It is harmful when fearful leaders teach that feminine qualities must be subdued and suppressed in men and women. It creates a hothouse for misogyny.
@yvettevernet47593 жыл бұрын
@Count Dracula Agree! Religion give men power,wealth and control and they will certainly not share any of it with women who must be reminded they are their subordinate.

In Sweden, I'ts my duty as the victim to show the court whiteout reasonable doubt why my abuser is guilty, and thats only after i have to prove that to the police and prosecutor. The prosecutor is not in any way my defence. But i need to prove that my case will be successful and lead to a conviction. My ex did use the police and other media to show himself as the victim, I almost believed that I was the Narcissist and that I abused him. I felt so bad for hurting him that i was willing to do anything to make it up to him. If he haven't left me, I would not be alive today. Now three years later, I'm broke, have been on sick-leave for 2,5 years have PTSD, almost no one to turn to, he smeared me so bad not even I would want to be near me.... but I'm alive!

goddamn bruh just fucking run out side as far as possible if they get violet at all you should live with someone thats abusing you, the absolute only reason possible is if they really want to change and i mean no 3rd chances after the first abuse if they gonna try to change stay, if they dont try to change or just cant change leave asap or if they hit you a second time just leave no matter what its for

all these videos really just describing psychos that have narcissism i swear im a narc and i can think of all these things that people act like we just dont understand narcissism is just a personality type its really not even much of a disorder considering its caused by basic animal instincts and every one is a narc to a extent its just most people are able to think about what there doing not being logical before they do it or as they do it not after or even not at all

Does this law assume that only men are malignant narcissists.. bent on dominating and controlling there intimate partners...i do agree with how gender dynamics are commonly played out in domestic abuse situations...but please keep an open mind..and look to see how this law can be expanded to include all beings suffering in silence...so each voice can be heard ...and human dignity restored in spite of gender

This is true. This is most likely because it's been proven that narcissism is found mostly in men vs women. But yes, there are female narcissist as well. I think most people have dealt with male ones which is why that is most common.
