Rory Best is a top guy, but Ireland and England have the same problem, their captains. both are not up to it. They play in the same positions at hooker and neither should be first choice,but because they are the captains they get chosen.Jamie George was the lions test hooker and Dylan Hartley didn't get on the tour. Now Rory is getting on a bit, he struggled in the match and he also had a bit of a wobbly at a throw in near his own line I felt sorry for him, yes Rory is a diamond but if Ireland do stick with him the rest of the team might have to take a bit of the work off him. tell me if you think I'm a gobshite.

The same as you. Irish rarely in England 22, rarely made the gain line. In fact anonymous in attack. As Schmidt said England simply beat them up. Oh, Brian O’Driscoll also said the score flattered Ireland, which it clearly did.

Ireland had an off day and England played well. Ireland still top team and will improve after this. I am England fan and love six nations. Sat and watched game with my best friend who is Irish. Always support Ireland when not playing England as very soft spot for the Irish. I know most home nations fans hate England but sorry can't return the hate. Hopefully one day we will all realise it's just luck of the draw as to where we are born.

As a Wales fan, I thought that England were fantastic and totally out muscled Ireland which is a job in itself. They certainly put down a marker for the Grand Slam and even the WC. If we play like we did against France, they will destroy us in Cardiff.

You'll be far better than you were against France. It was just a slow start and you still pulled out a win. With Italy up next you've got time to build. As an England fan I just hope we can keep playing like that or better.

I thought you guys were done for after the first half but it just goes to show the grit and determination of the Welsh. Yes, we had a good game against the Irish but that game is done and dusted, the Welsh and the Scotts are just as good as any team on there day and are easily capable of beating us, so to are France, (maybe Italy, sorry Italian fans). Its great for the Six Nations that the teams are all so close. I hope England win but i would not like to put a bet on it. After seeing Wales come back like they did, its anyone`s game. Bloody love rugby.

@@Largallama I think Gats had the wrong half backs in the first half, Hanscombe's kicking game was awry, we were much better when Biggar and Gareth Davies came on. The English forwards were awesome and made Sexton & Murray's live's a misery, the looks on their faces said it all and Farrell, Slade, Nowell and May were fantastic. I live in a town on the border, half consider themselves Welsh and half English, my wife is actually English, so match day is quite entertaining. It should be a great game in Cardiff, which is a difficult place for anyone to come to play rugby but you will be sure of a warm welcome in the pubs. Can't wait!!

I agree no one could live with that, the trick is to repeat it. Certainly the most intense tram play i have seen in years. Not sure i have ever seen any team ever tackle the way England did as a gang.

Sometimes i just think the questions asked are just dumb. The Irish lost to England, it happens, England were better on the day but have no doubt, the Irish squad are still a world class side. They don`t need to rejig, rethink, change anything really. Look at England, 18 wins on the bounce, then Ireland came to Twickenham and gave us a lesson in rugby. Teams will win and loose, it`s the nature of the beast. For me, all three opening games have been brill, yes we won but it`s one game, look what Wales did, it`s not over for any team yet, apart from Italy probably, sorry to and Italian fans.

Ireland have been brilliant over the last few years. I would not say that you guys bottled it at all. Any side that beats the AB twice is not a side that bottles it. You guys will bounce back strong. Ireland are world class and can still win the Six Nations, anything can happen, just look at the Wales and France game.

As an Irish fan, some of the pre-match build up throughout the last few weeks has been embarrassing. As an exercise in my own mind, before making a prediction, I imagine how that prediction might look if it turns out to be wrong. So by all means, back your own team to win it, but don't come out with absurd statements that only 2-3 players from the opposing side would make your own starting lineup. Because, it your team loses, it really makes everything a whole lot worse than it has to be.

I would have to agree on the player safety issue, England were reckless in many of their tackles, last year Owen Farrell committed two tackles which could have injured both players, unfortunately he got away with those two, and set the tone in the team in this match. World Rugby harps on about player safety, but we have to question where we are going when 18- 20 stone players throw themselves into collisions with no regard for their own or tho other players safety. Research has come out recently high-lighting the increased risk rugby players have of developing medical conditions at a younger age than other sportsmen, many early deaths recently, we all want a physical game, but some teams seem to need to take this a step too far, I feel England did this yesterday!

England too big too strong, Ireland are small and aging. The World Cup will be won by a Southern hemisphere team or England. Ireland will always be competitive in the Northern Hemisphere but England by virtue of its population and resources will always be the strongest team in spite of the occasional blip. Would love Ireland to be better than they are but we must be cognisant of reality not emotions.
