Holy shit the Forest theme is absolutely nuts. Masahiko Ishida did an incredible job, here.

This game is so badass that ninjas in the last stage are frozen in midair, waiting to slice you in half like a watermelon. You better pray you know the correct route through that gauntlet.

I could never follow the beat for "behind the wind" on the turbo grafx music. Soooo glad this arcade version has prominent drums to make it easier! Thanks for posting!

Forest and KIZASHI Part 2 SLAP 19:50 so hard. (Shame the final boss music was bugged in the arcade game itself. You can only properly hear it here!)

I can't believe the coders of this game fucked up the final boss music. He set it up so it would begin as you fell, and right as you landed the song would kick in.. But you never hear it ingame because it gets replaced by the regular boss music. What a waste!! I mean listen to this! The true final boss track! 19:50. Holy shit.

Odd bit is that the error is DUPLICATED in the PC-Engine version. Maybe Ishida liked the effect? It’s not infrequent, though; just look at how shuffled up the boss themes in G-Darius can be (NONE of the st. 4 bosses get “Nonsense Codon” like was planned).
