I was at the first showing of Flashdance in the cinema in 1983 and I was absolutely blown away by the musical film - the music was simply trendy! I also recommend Hot Lunch Jam from the film “Fame” or John Miles “Music” as absolute gems. These songs inspired other musicians not only then but also today.
