I 100% identify with the conclusion of the video, finding yourself, to have been turned against yourself, all along. I have had a PTSD diagnosis for several years. Until I saw your Cults for Consciousness interview, I had been unaware of the the face of my self destructive belief system. That is ground zero of my PTSD diagnosed 10 years ago. After resolving more mundane PTSD issues, since then, I continually face deeper realizations of how I have unconsciously turned my distorted beliefs about me, against me. Unable to grasp that I have legitimate self interests. The worst part is that my son payed for my screwed upness as well. My first 13-years were spent as a girl child under the self blame conditioning of the LDS in SLC in the 70's. I saw through the method and refused to attend, but unknown to me deep damage has already been done. I had talents and interests girls "shouldn't. Who I am was shut down by the world of adults surrounding me, my mother led the assault. Moving to Denver at age 20, didnt help. I'm now in my 50's. Irene, you've still got the bulk of your future ahead of you... Finally, don't let the LDS ruin Jesus Christ and God the Father for you. The Bible was never broken, it teaches that men always have been. Jesus founded the Body of Christ, not a religion or church. We all place our faith somewhere, usually in our selves. The U.S. is rife with the cult of self-righteousness. To my thinking, the LDS, are an evil arm of that cult. Irene (Adler, "The Woman";)❤ Thank you so much for your generosity with your story. My blindness was pierced by your words. And the most necessary realization to my eventual emotional freedom.
