Hi guys! I had such high hopes for this one! But the iridescent just didnt show up. It's still lovely and varnish will definately bring it back to life. Hope you enjoy! Let me know what other pours you would like to see!

If you try this black and iridescent combo again, keep the gold and lime green because those look great on there but go with darker blues and reds. Like Air Force blue (Navy might be too dark) and a fuchsia or magenta. Something bold that’ll clash with the blue but offer a great contrast. Maybe they’d mix together to give a real trippy purple.

I use artist loft iredecent medium in the 4oz tube and use equal parts paint to iredecent and then 2 parts pouring medium with water as needed. It looks like colored crushed pearls! Hope that helps! 💕🏜

It turned out great. You never know what the Black is going to do, and taking the risk of using the irrisesent on a new piece is challenging. I am glad you did the experiment. Hi Molly. I use iridescent medium in every single color I have. I use Liquitex and artist loft brands. I found the Liquitex is not quite as thick as the artist loft. I don’t have a specific ratio either. I just add the medium until I’m happy with the shimmer in each color. One thing I have noted, the medium doesn’t show up quite as well in light colors. To get a good shimmer with the light colors, you have add almost double what you’d add to darker colors. Once you get the hang of how it works though, it really adds sparkle to your pieces! 😎

I love this piece. Colors are gorgeous. I've used the irredecent medium and have found in order to get the look I want, I have to add a lot and sometimes that's still not enough lol. I just go for paint that already has the sparkle in it... metallics or irredecenses. I bet once you get the varnish on it'll really come to life with those colors popping out.

This turned out better than I thought it would. I think if you'd left more of the black base on it, the black would have eaten the paint. So this worked, I think. The only thing I would have done after the blow out is to wreck it. I would have wrecked it by going from the black to the center of the line. Like Milky Way Art does. But over all, it looks pretty cool. You are amazing and I really get a lot of inspiration from you. Thank you!

I have used both liquitex & artist loft iridescent medium but didn't know how much to put in so I only used a small amount like a couple squirts in each 3 oz cup I was using & same thing I couldn't really tell because I had used other metallics in the pour so I was thinking about doing a pour without any other metallics at all & adding more of the medium to see how it turns out that way . I noticed more with the artists loft but it is very thick and hard to break it down in the paint so I had a few tiny tiny clumps of it where it didn't get mixed well enough so I definitely prefer the liquitex brand for the fluidity of it . I just need to play with it some more ....there aren't any real directions on either labels so hard to tell how much ya actually need. Lol. I thought that was pretty odd . Anyway that's all I know about it

My iridescent medium is Golden I think. It’s like a pearly paste. I never know how much to add - until the sheen looks right? And after that, why thin with water instead of a bit more Floetrol? (Say, for a Sarah Mack recipe - she uses Floetrol.) Pouring medium instead of water to thin more?

Okay, mid blow dryer current, you said you didn't like the color. WTF, you picked the colors. No room for doubt. Go with it! And I'm liking it, because my niece now has said it would look great in her room. Oh yes, as high tech room. Stop being so critical!

I am allowed to have an opinion of my own painting! I can say that I love a color, hate a color, like an effect, or don't. It's all last of the process. Dont think critical, think reflective. If you have seen any of my other videos i say the same thing each time. If you don't like it figure out why and learn from it. It is a process. No one is perfect.

Hey! No criticism here! I loved it! I agree that it's your work and you are the boss of it! I actually enjoyed watching you do this. As far as observing your technique, It just disturbs me that you would be able be to be so dismissive of your choices when I must consider the result, which is wonderful.

This is is really good too...still LOVING the pastel on white background. This one I would hang vertically, with the darker colors on the bottom and lighter on the top..gives the illusion of a 'fade'...make sense? Lol
