I went to Iriomote last year in June during rainy season. Although it was hot, humid, and rainy, it was absolutely incredible. I love this island and the Ishigaki-Iriomote area so much! The people are wonderful! Rainy season was actually nice because it was so empty of tourists! Just bring a poncho or umbrella! The point about being careful while driving is accurate! I was driving slow and carefully and still nearly run over the Iriomote Cat! Luckily I was paying attenting and going slow. I felt so terrible though knowing they're endagered.

A very interesting and entertaining video to watch. Iriomote feels like another world…it is beautiful and the residents are very clever to teach people about their home…it will foster respect for the environment. Thank-you for sharing your trip, Ryoya Takashima.

Very interesting and informative. Here in Colombia we’re having lots of problems with the mangroves, due to different issues, like road constructions near, waste from humans and lots of plastic waste. Thanks for sharing. Bye.

I think i saw you doing a dyeing process before, cannot remember where. Mangroves are super important, without mangroves the fishes would be fewer, erosion of coastal estuaries, no place for migratory birds. Considering the Tsunami scares over your way they are necessary to human health. Mangroves are also paramount for carbon cycles, yeah a precious resource. Sad about the Boars, humans create the most problems in regards to what is labelled feral animals, of course this is a man made situation so i feel sorry for the Animals. I don't think you have crocs at Iriomote but Mangroves & Crocodiles are often synonymous. Are you moving into Documentary making? I think you'll ace it! PS) Thank You for picking up plastics, in Thailand people gather plastic & in return they get free travel on public transport, some cafe's offer free coffee, woot woot.. Love it! Bye!
