Great review! I got it last week and it’s definitely bottle worthy. Maybe a classier and more versatile option over Valentino. They also both have very cool styled bottles; but, even there I think the Givenchy bottle is better looking.

It's DHI meets Spicebomb extreme... Where as DHI is lipstick feminine, Spicebomb is warm and cuddly without the sex appeal.... Enter Givenchy Gentleman.... Nailed it! A dark, warm, and spicy Iris. Which is exactly why I bought it. I also find it powdery during the top notes. I wanted an Iris scent, but not sweet or a freshie like Prada L'homme. Definitely my most-worn buy of 2018.

I agree with you on Dior Homme intense. The iris in it is overwhelming for my taste. The Parfum version however is amazing as the iris is covered with the leather note. Valentino Uomo intense is my second favorite in the winter fragrance segment. I’ve tried it and it felt to me like a toned down version of DH Parfum which is great in my opinion. As for Givenchy Gentleman Edp, it didn’t work for me really. To me I would choose Valentino Uomo intense if I run out of my bottle of Dior Homme Parfum. (Since there rumors it being discontinued sadly😢)

Tried this on my hand today and about two hours in I got a Dunhill Icon scent as it continued to dry down it gave me a iris-vanilla feel. Delicious!

Since you gave it a 5 out of 5, I canceled my DHI in my online cart and went to ULTA and paid full retail price. Don't judge this if you spray it on the store, it's weak. A few spray on my skin and my take on it; it's dark, spicy, mysterious and sexy. Definitely Masculine..... Unlike DHI. It's very wearable as well. I wore it to a club, and it warms up my skin, like I can literally feel it heating up and released this very sensual scent. This is Dior homme intense that turned into a sexy Viktor&rolf spicebomb extreme...

This is a really good release from Givenchy. The performance is very good and it is great in the cool weather. It's different than any of the Dior Homme line because those are very lipstick like, except for the parfum version which is by far my favorite. This fragrance is more of the rooty orris vibe, which is pretty toned down.

I remember smelling it when my nose and taste hasn't been developed yet and the Iris overwhelmed me. Now after smelling dozens of fragrances I can say it's a beautiful fragrance. Has enough depth and versatility but also is unique compared to other Iris gods. Awesome performance and great price for the quality of the juice. I love it
