Love your channel and the realness about the struggles and accomplishments with gardening and of course relationships. Thank you for not getting all dolled up with makeup and a pretty sundress, let’s keep it real!

You guys are such an awesome team. Starting a new venture is hard work, costly and exhausting.You totally have all that it takes to make it happen. Plus you're such a good example to the youngsters in your life. I really think getting the kids outside is the best thing overall! You are very good example of a healthy , happy, fulfilled family. Thank you for your video!

The Iris bulbs is supposed to be a bit above the ground and it's to be baked by the sun. I really enjoy the progress on the farm. When you have the time, show and tell abort your plans on the farm and at the poly-tunnel. Wish i lived close to you, then i would come and help you, but I live in Denmark. Keep up the good work.

I love my Iris's. Of course I'm old. Lol But of everything I planted when we moved here in 2020, the Iris have spread the most. I had 6 lovely Lupine plants but lost all but one last year. Just too much wet soil I think. I lost a few Lavenders also as you indicated about them not liking wet feet. The Iris love the wet soil though I think. I love Scented Geraniums. I used to have a few as houseplants and this makes me want to buy more. I hope the baby deer got found by someone. So sad..😢

You are going to love the Irises! Here in Central Texas you can find the old antique white ones growing around old abandoned farm houses. I have a few that were in my yard 30 yrs ago when we bought the house. We call them Pass-Along plants.

Caught a few videos and loving what you’re doing. What’s the reason for buying the property and doing all this hard work? Will it be a nursery?

Love your channel! We have a small flower farm in Ohio. I think what you might like better are the Siberian irises. They come in lots of gorgeous colors but their scale is better for bouquets.

What is the business plan here? Do you plan on selling just flowers or potted annuals and perennials?
@arnorrian1Ай бұрын
Will you be getting Sibirian Irises? They are later than bearded ones. Rosy Hardy just did a video on them. And there are some really tall ones.

What you need is a business coarse. You waste too much money. Such a shame.

Why do you have a you tube channel? You seem uninterested at times. Your husband ask question for us viewers because your not really clear on a lot of your planting, bloom timing and what a viewer is trying to learn. It appears that you two are under a tremendous amount of financial stress. I like learning if you would explain in detail and you and your husband have a little more respect for each other.......
@bonniehillard6713Ай бұрын
Agree on having more respect for each other--no need to bring up disagreements on you-tube. Very disturbing for the viewer. Most people that watch gardening videos are watching to learn and gain experience. I have seen a few videos that Shelly and Matty have done by themselves, and I find them to be very good without someone asking silly questions. I do enjoy seeing progress at the barn ,and wish you all the best in your endeavors.

@@bonniehillard6713 @michelearseneau8039 I would never speak for Shelly or Bryan but as a subscriber of more than 5 years I feel comfortable saying that the majority of subscribers enjoy the 'cut-and-thrust' realism of content on this channel. I can appreciate videos of rustic cottage garden walks with people who are all done up and have things scripted but when I watch Guiding Green Thumbs I feel when I'm visiting my a couple friends and touring their garden with a beer/wine in my hand. Shelly has grit but just watch some more videos and watch her go goo-goo over blooms. Bryan jokes about his wife spending money but if you watch more videos he really does articulate his support and respect for Shelly's interest and capabilities. All that is to say that I get it might not be for everyone, but I really do think a lot of people identify with the content and wouldn't want it change. Again, my two cents.
