We have never allowed our 15yr old (3rd yr) to attend SPHE Classes. When the vice principal discovered this at the start of 2nd year he asked me who authorized him not attending and was shocked when my response was I DID. End of story.

There should be a fairly straightforward way to get around it. On grounds of the exercise of religious freedom, inform the school that you are perfectly entitled to withdraw your child IF something contrary to your beliefs is being FORCED on him/her. And threaten legal action under Article 44 of the Constitution.

We have done some shorter ones too whereby we clipped out parts. This was one that we felt needed all the info together. It was hard to find a clear divide. Eugene and I often set a timer and plan to keep them shorter but we get so engaged in the discussion …we can lose track! We have to also get on Instagram to get short teaser clips up. Since the free books came in we have not seen any of the books, they're never sent home, what is sent home is a photocopy carefully chosen perhaps. Send the books home with them. Photocopies is not green friendly so those flags are a joke. Send the books home with the children

Just watched a brilliant interview on TOCSIN (a new on-line media in French, only 12mths but getting massive popularity) which dealt with a reading book for all High Schools in France, which is of the lowest crass pornography (I skipped over lots of the details read out by the journalist as it was so putrid and my French isn't so great but even I was horrified!!). Same as here, most parents couldn't care less. Same two yrs ago when we tried to high light the porn in the local library....no traction....maybe if the parents "btead and circus" dopamine hit was taken away from parents THEN they would react......Ado-parents with children...never grew up!!!!!

Have you seen the religious education books for secondary schools...? Children are being introduced to a smorgasboard of occult religions. We home educated from 1st class in primary onwards as the writing was on the wall, only junior & senior infants done in the system. You do not need to SCHOOL your children, but EDUCATE them. You need to be able to facilitate them, not necessarily "teach" them. Educating your children is an extension of parenting. Our teen did a local Youthreach course eventually at the age 17, only because they were offering a new course ('Culinary Skills') while simultaneously doing a distance learning diploma in Forensic Psychology & Criminology), and then an EU-funded QQI L4/L5 'Professional Cookery' course -- and is now employed as a chef in a job she absolutely loves. In not one single interview was she ever asked about her 'schooling' or lack thereof. Lots of home educated teens use the QQI courses as a springboard into third level colleges and universities. See Monica O'Connor's yt channel for interviews with young adts who were home educated and how they into college courses of their choice work etc. Cramming children into school benches from a young age, asking them to sit still, is robbing them of their childhood. They need to run, play, and move freely. They are learning ALL the time in many ways, documentaries are brilliant too. Once a child can read, they can learn about ANYTHING. God, the Bible says, is not a respecter of persons, in other words he doesn't care what your status in society is, you don't need to be a doctor or a judge etc, you can be a street sweeper! He took a shepherd-boy and made him King of all Israel, and through the line of David came the Messiah, the Saviour of the world,! Jesus Christ, the name above ALL names (Philippians 2:9-11), there is none other name under heaven given among men by which we MUST be saved (ACTS 4:12), and the ONLY mediator between God and men (1 Timothy 2:5).

It was meant to be implemented in 2025. However Senior cycle was meant to be 2024- and a memo went out that schools don’t have to implement it until 2027. We believe the pushback from parents (and teachers) is effective. Let’s hope! If this goes into Primary school, (and the brutal indoctrination is even worse than secondary) we will have no choice but to take children out and build a parallel system. Do not let this happen 1. Continuous assessment means the student is under fierce pressure for the last 2 yrs of school 2. I think it's important to highlight that there is a big difference between most of what we now consider trans (which is also quite the broad umbrella term) and "LGB" on it's own. The "T" and the "Q" are a completely different thing. Same sex, or both sex attraction is a normal thing. It doesn't require changing anything about yourself on a whim, or any medical procedure, hormones, puberty blockers etc, and is scientifically, and not ideologically based. We need to be educated about this if we're going to win this war, and we need to be up on the science and psychology surrounding it. This ideology is actually homophobic in many ways, believe it or not. I also don't think it's a good thing to argue against this from a counter religious standpoint, such as saying it's anti Catholic. This approach is basically giving them artillery imo. My kids secondary school in Cork. I agree they have been bullied by the Principal Ideology. She has Pride flags all over the school. All different toilets for non binary and other terms. Rainbow stairs. Rainbow painted walls. Each class must wear a pride colour for a day. They are allowed dress different, boys with makeup and pink hair. Standing on stage telling their stories. While the other teenagers all feeling uncomfortable and not wanting to be there.

Most are just getting an education on how to pass exams and if they know the basics of AI and ChatGPT they'll get a college qualification.
