The far right label is a way of labelling someone a fascist. The problem is that fascism is a left wing ideology. The nazi party was also known as the national socialist part, socialism is a left ideology. Communism is international socialism, fascism is a national socialism. Giovanni Gentile was the founder of fascism and he is a lefty. I associate the right with conservative values. Could you ask John what conservative policies have either FF/FG introduced in the last 2 and more decades?? To my mind we have fascism by stealth. Government control of the public sector through regulations, a state police force, the pushing of social issues by the WEF ie. Abortion. Ireland does not have a conservative government, and not in a long time.

@@inisboru3181 The Nazis were a "left-wing" party, appointed to government by a conservative President, in coalition with conservatives, backed by big business donors, supported by the police and the military, obsessed with an ancient mystical past, voted for by the same demographics who vote conservative (rural and lower middle-class), opposed by one left-wing party that maintained most of its support (SPD) and another who gained support during this time (KPD), all while locking up trade unionists. But yeah, left-wing.
@markpower9081Күн бұрын
There are about 70 left-wing TDs in the Dail, 39 of whom are organised into a single party. There is an opposition, and if those 70 decide to develop a common platform, there would be a path to a change of government next time. I have no expectation that that will happen, but that's hardly FF and FG's fault. Or Irish voters for that matter.
