Thank you for the video, we are to sail to France in October and although have been on the WB Yeats before, this is the first time we have reserved club lounge, so this was very useful.

A good introduction to that ship, though the presence of other passenger being absent most of the time, their hustle and bustle, amusement, discovery etc, stripped out some of the real-life feel so left it looking a bit clinical. Also, best mention, once at sea, phone/internet costs are at maritime prices, i.e steep. We tend to breakfast in the Lady Gregory. Totting up prices per item, it makes more sense. Many don't understand how extensive the all in price is, so I recommend having a good look at the menu and just ask for what ever takes your fancy and then the next thing, and so on. We've seen this misunderstanding a few times. On the last trip, the couple next to us were paying the full whack, yet seemed to think they could only get a coffee/tea and a croissant/muffin with some juice. No, you can have everything! But, here's an idea for them... you know how in many restaurants, they'll take away whatever glasses or cutlery you wont need and replace with what better suits your order... well they should think about that regarding the cups. Those wide-brimmed cups do look good, elegant and stylish and in keeping with the general mood and decor -- and suitable for tea, but not, not, not suitable for coffee. So if you asked for a coffee, they should just take the teacup away and give you something not so wide on top, otherwise, it's 2 sips and you've got a cold coffee. Yes, on the recent trip, we noticed they check-up more often to ask if you need a fresh pot. I'm often tempted to just borrow one of the disposable cups from the Boylans restaurant. We've now done the return trip about 4 times. We still miss the old Oscar Wilde to Rosslare - it had more character and we go go up higher for the views. And Rosslare suited us a lot more. We even got to see dolpins a couple of times. We're also early birds when it comes to booking, ensure all is sorted by January, to travel end of July, so imagine the disappointment this year to find that, had we waited to book till July, we could have sailed for 20% cheaper! We've been sailing since 2003. And speaking of prices, the shop is expensive. We can get a litre of Baileys for €18 in France - it was €29 onboard Out of interest, car passengers are obliged to book a cabin and that makes sense, but we've often wondered does that rule also apply for foot passengers? Beds are wonderful and showers are quite excellent too.

Hi. Thanks for watching and for your comments and recommendations. I was asked not to film other passengers therefore, most footage was taken at 0400hrs / just as the facilities opened before they got busy - it was a very busy sailing. I hope you enjoy my blog when it's published too www.a2bviasea.co.uk

I guessed you were trying and mostly succeeding in not filming passengers. I've got a ton of photos myself and did exactly the same, even though very few have ever seen them. Photos are easier than video. However, would it help if the spirit of a passenger was there to be seen e.g. a table set for a passenger next to one where the passengers had just left? PS, The Lady Gregory gets booked up real fast. We have been first in line once, only to see for ourselves that most tables were already booked (the use a chart placed on the counter for themselves to check) We asked at reception how that was possible and the answer was that with certain booking, the tables were ordered in advance. I'll assume those booking are the ones outside our price range.@@A2BviaSeaonTV

@@aquachimp1 I wanted to film the passengers dancing in the bar - I took photos instead and asked permission from those in shot if OK to add to my blog and vlog.

Great video. We try to book club class as you graze your way through the crossing. Nothing can beat the food on Rosslare-Dunkirk DFDS though, totally converted to that route for northern European travel.

I wish you would have walked toward the whiskey in the shop so I could have seen what the prices were like! Usually "duty free" means 50% more than in the stores but one time on a ferry from Seattle to Victoria British Columbia we scored on some decent bottles. Of course the Dublin airport also has a decent duty free.
