Jolin’s “We’re all different, yet the same” is another LGBTQ song made earlier than “Womxnly”. That video also base on true story and would make everyone cry… At that time, the same-sex marriage legislation was still in debt. Lots of gay couple couldn’t sign the emergency medicine paper for their partner even they already live together for decades… and most of time, they don’t have good relationships with their own family (because of their sexuality). This is a very seriously problem for them… Fortunately, we do have that legislation from 2021 finally (even it’s not a perfect one, but it make us become the first/only same-sex marriage country in Asia now). Highly recommend “We’re all different, yet the same” and almost every MV from Jolin!

It’s about a gay boy who found dead at high school toilet, he was bullied by the class due to his gender expression at school in 2000. Taiwan government amend “Gender Equity Education Act Law” in 2004 because of this accident. The high school Principle got accused in 2006. Jolin made this song dedicated to the boy 葉永鋕
