The word Dublin comes from Dubh Linn, meaning black pool, which was the name the vikings gave to Dublin if I'm remembering my primary school history right! Anyway, bonkers game, Dublin scored in the last minute of normal time and then that goal in extra time too. Think two guys got sent off after the brawl but it was hard to keep track. In the UFL they don't have the NFL and NCAA rule for "disconcerting acts or signals" a rule which has never once been called in the NFL. Last week there was a game Memphis vs roughnecks where in a 4th and short moment to try and score a TD, a defensive player mimicked the cadence of the QB to trick an olineman to false start pushing them back and forcing them to settle for 3. There's a lot of yelling going on as you can see the QB pleading what happened to the ref and trying to get the call reversed but it stood. Anyways I looked at the rules and it's apparently legal to do that in the UFL 1:45:00 on the 2 hour upload by spring football juice Edit: it may not be legal they might have just gotten away with it

In their interview on Mcafee, the receiver of the TD is actually the normal center. He was not supposed to be even in consideration. They ran the play 8 times, I believe, in practice and completed it zero. There was a Wr that was to be the only read but at the end the play worked! Cool story!

I don't get it. The question to me isn't how did #55 get open, but rather how #55 was eligible in the first place? Did he report? Jomboy doesn't say, but it's pretty important information. It seems to me if you're wondering how a player got so wide open, *and* said player had reported as eligible, you would want to mention that as it makes the situation even more inexplicable. And, just for the record, I *did* look up the 2023 UFL rules and they explicitly say that numbers 50-70 and 90-99 are ineligible, page 45 (rule 2 on that page). Furthermore, staying on page 45, they also say "5. In a scrimmage kick formation, a player with an ineligible number may not become eligible". So I guess I have to assume that #55 reported, but it seems odd that Jomboy didn't mention this.
