Wow Sam! Thank you so much for trying out Irish Gauge!! It makes us so happy that you gave the game a shot! Can't wait for you to try the second game in the Iron Rail series :)

I think Sam has become my favorite Dice Tower reviewer. His taste in games is pretty far from mine, but he does a great job of explaining what a game is about, and acknowledges his own biases during the reviews.

The fact that it's this short makes it much more interesting to me than other stock market games. As for you, it's not necessarily my style of games, but it really doesn't overstay its welcome. :)

I like Steam. Irish Gauge seems like it, in the sense that it is a train game but not an 18xx. Gotta take a closer look.

Sincere question, not trying to be a jerk: What are the advantages of this over Chicago Express? Other than the time is a little bit shorter?

Where did you film this Sam? At home?

I notice that this board does not have the Strip of Death

Not your kind of game so it could never have gotten a 10/10. Weird. Next time should have someone who does enjoy this genre review it.

I can totally understand the rating. And I think there's worth in him reviewing games out of his usual range, otherwise how do you discover new things that you *might* like? Plus, he gave a description of what he liked, so people can make up their minds based on that and not just the rating.

I'll add also that Irish guage is kinda intended as an intro or ultra lite version of some of the big 18xx economy type game, so the audience is meant to include people who don't usually play these games
