So fun! Can't wait for Dave's "I'm on a boat" video 😆. I went foraging for the first time last year on the Oregon coast and we found so many boletes and GIANT amanitas (obvi did not eat those). Really cool to see all the pretty variations in Ireland ✨ I've never seen purple ones!

Dave on a boat might be the only thing more dangerous than Dave on dry land (and I also can't wait!) 😅⛵ I know, I thought my pretty little purple in the thumbnail would have people flocking in by their thousands.....might need to change it all around 🙄

I live in Oregon too and saw my first lobster mushroom in the wild this week! So exhilarating :-D

The book lists chicken of the woods as a mushroom best avoided which makes me question legitimacy of the book..but it is definitely better than having nothing and the relevance to Ireland is very helpful will be useful.

Yes I thought the same thing about the CotW, and there are heaps and heaps of species that aren't included. But as you say, still very useful and still the only one I've seen of its kind.

Long story short , I have a friend that had sore hip , after ice and advil did nothing , she went to China town in Chicago and got some tea 🍵. She was drinking it everyday, few times a day. She got jaundice abd pain. Went to ER ( I'm a nurse told her to go ) her liver enzymes were threw the roof . She di a whole med work up for liver failure, culprit that tea from China Town was made from mushrooms 🍄 🆘️. She fine now but was very ill bc of mushrooms 🍄 tea 🍵 🚫 . BE CAREFUL🙏

Hunted for years. YOU A have to know what your looking for and what mushroom your looking at. Best way to learn is to learn from someone in person on foraging trips.
