While I live in Tennessee, my family is from Alabama, and I have never had an Alabama Slammer served in a highball glass. But, recipes vary... but wrecking you without you tasting it coming is absolutely the goal for this drink.

A note on adding salt or sugar to the rim: it's always best to only add salt/sugar to half the glass, that way the drinker may choose whether or not they want the salt/sugar with that sip.

It is a big F*ck off goblet. That looked like about half a gallon of drink there. Really appreciate the fruit garnishes. It did look like they were all taking little baby sips of each one too. Which is not what I'm used to seeing. Justine is hilarious!! She is always so alive in the moment in these shoots. Just LOVE her humor. Ciara does always look like she is about to pounce on something,.. she just looks READY!!!

The only Alabama Slammer🥃 I am used to is served in a shorter glass, and you slam it on the table 3 times before drinking it. Love them. You definitely get slammed after drinking them. You don't feel it until you stand up, then you're on your butt after three of them. They are so drinkable and yummy.

I was just in Ireland (wish we met up) and I'm not sure why, but there's Coors Light on ALL the taps in every pub we visited. Someone once left Coors Light at my house, and I found a use for it - Fill a tall glass 2/3 with ice. Cover the ice with peach schanapps. Fill the rest of the glass with Coors Light, leaving room for a generous splash of orange juice. And there you have what I have dubbed a "Colorado Bellybutton"

I feel like whoever did the research for this video missed an important distinction in the recipe for the Alabama Slammer - it doesn't contain regular old gin, it has *SLOE* gin in it, and it gives the drink a lovely pinky sunset vibe. Gin tastes of juniper, whereas sloe gin tastes fruity and sweet and a little bit like plums. An Alabama Slammer is, in fact, my go to summer cocktail and it *will* get you fucked up. The traditional recipe is one part each of Southern Comfort, Amaretto, and Sloe gin to two parts orange juice, served over ice. It's incredibly easy to make, sweet as candy with a tiny bit of tang from the oj, and I freaking love them.

The Two-Girl Swirl - - in an old-fashioned glass with ice, add 2 oz. Everclear and 2 oz. Green Chartreuse. Give the mix a single stir (the Swirl). For Ciara and Justine.

Yeah, here in Alabama, we pronounce it Slamma, no R at the end. The University of Alabama football team has a chant that goes "Rammer Jammer, Yellowhammer(which is the state bird), Give 'em hell, Alabama" but we drop the R on all those words.

Ciara and Justine is a combination for the ages (and I like Bláithín's fingernails). Try a Texas Cheater: Corona (which otherwise sucks) with a shot of Amaretto. Somehow it comes out tasting like Dr Pepper.

Upgrade it to a flaming dr pepper: 1/2 to 3/4 pint of your choice light color beer, shot glass with amaretto, Chambord, 151. Light shot on fire, drop into beer, chug the mixture. Note: many locations have rules against lighting drinks on fire, which is a shame as the fire adds something to the flavor possibly a hint of caramelization of sugars, but understandable as drunks and portable fire liquid is a bad mix.

I thought Jade Martini was actually Midori + Coconut rum + Pineapple juice, but I've also seen variants with vanilla vodka and lime+ lemon juice instead of the coconut rum. I usually only rim half my glass and leave the other half without so I can chose when I want to add it to my taste buds

A four liquor cocktail you say?! How about a Red Death? Equal parts - Yukon Jack, 151 Rum, Firewater (or equivalent- so 100 proof cinnamon schneapps), and Vodka. Served as a shot after shaking with ice. Sure to get any party started right up 😋

I don't know about the other ingredients in your drink, but 100 proof cinnamon schnapps is my favorite. I have to be careful because I got to a point that I was drinking about 3 litres a week.....or one litre in 24hrs, depending on how much money I had that week.

There’s a drink I used to make all the time called Green Demon: an ounce each of rum, vodka, and Midori with a splash of lemonade or sour mix… it’s sweet and sour with a serious kick…
