I was born in Northern Ireland. My family moved to Canada when I was 4 years old.
I was able to go back a few times when I was young but this was the first time I was back in over 50 years.
In this video we visit Belfast, Moorefield Street, St Donard's Church of Ireland, Irish breakfast at Cyprus Avenue, Stormont Estate, Grace Neill's, Donaghadee, The Famous Bethany Fish & Chips (for a pastie), Morning Star Bar & Restaurant, Carrickfergus, Papa Brown's Grill for a real Ulster Breakfast, Carrickfergus Castle, Glenarm Marina, Ballymena, Old Bushmills Distillery, and Coleraine.
It's a nostalgic trip filled with memories, emotions, and a glimpse into the place that shaped who I am today.

I'm 80 years old now. I left Londonderry in 1959 and I have lived all over the world. Castlerock is calling me back. I long to walk the Downhill and Benone beach.

I'm an American, but in 1980-1982, I lived in Coleraine to help with the Coleraine Church of Christ. Met a preacher from Belfast and married him. We live in America now, but always enjoy going back to Northern Ireland to visit family, and have an Ulster Fry!

I hear you, I was born in Belfast 62 years ago, my family (parents and brother) immigrated out to Australia when I was 2. My mum was constantly homesick, she always called it "home", even though my dad said that Australia is our home now. She died 35 years ago, never getting back to Northern Ireland. I went back 10 years ago, it was like coming home.
@GoinSomewhereElse

That you for sharing your story. Very similar to mine. I recall my parents saying that Australia was the oher country they considered moving to but picked Canada in the end. I did get to return home on a couple occasssions after we immigated to Canada. Once when I was 6 and then again when I was around 8 years old. My Granparents (Nannie & Pop) lived on Moorefield street so this was a must visit when I returned home after 50 years. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, it was raining, a downpour so I was not able to get out and take in all the memories I had on that street. I guess I have to go back. :) Cheers!
