Understandable, but to be fair, the Palestinian issue does have a huge impact on us & the EU regardless. The EU will bend over backwards for Israel & the US to help push them out into every country, as Israel have tried to do with our country by sending them here. Showing some solidarity & to uphold international law does no harm. I am disturbed by the Irish government's push to accommodate asylum seekers, particularly young men from predominantly Islamic countries, in small towns and rural areas of the country. Have they not learned anything from mainland Europe? These individuals do not want to integrate into the Irish way of life and culture. I am disgusted by Sinn Fein, a party I use to vote for, and their support of these economic migrants. There are 15,000 Irish homeless people and if we are in no position to help them, we sure as hell are not able to accommodate people who have contributed nothing to our system.
