​@@ChrisVillagomez because it turns out fruit flies only need a thin film of food stuffs to be able to reproduce. Learned that after three years in a row of the damned things coming from my kitchen sink even after gallons of drain cleaner. So now every once in a while hard core grease remover is used to clean our sink. Also fruit flies while preferring fruit will thrive off just about anything that isnt basically pure sugar or extremely salty, they love alcohol though (little alcoholics).
