iRobot j5 & j5+ Combo: Is it worth the upgrade?

Hi, I am satisfied by my J5 combo but I am trying to find a compatible battery instead of the orginal iRobot one, would you have the specs for it, is it the same as the one from the iSeries or as the J7. thanks for your input!

I knew it.. Whats weird is the new j9+ (non combo) removes sensors from the back.

At least the j5 is better than the new i5 which is the I3 with the same removable mop attachment.

@@TheFrenchGlow Yeah. the new Roombas seem low effort..Just a revision of older platforms while making last gen stuff EOL. J9+ COMBO = J7+ COMBO with better motor. (prob most effort given the auto refill bin for water). J9+ = 4 cliff sensors? on a 9 series??? Same motor as J9+ Combo, just no mop feature. Im actually a little triggered because the J7+ and or "J5" have 6 lol.. Maybe the motor was too big for the ID (cliff sensors), but they could have given the J9+ a mop at least.. weird decision.

Hi! yes for vacuuming, the performance is identical. I still prefer this mop set up than the J7+ combo with the auto raising arm. The J7+ combo for me as a mop was like a wet jet swiffer using 1 paper towel sheet. I even reviewed and tested it but I choose not to release the video because I was concerned if I was being too negative.

@@TheFrenchGlow Thanks, im looking to buy a j5 or a j7 but without the self emptying bin as it would be above my budget unfortunately. I saw the j5 is 50$ more than the j7 but i have an m6 so i don't know if i would gain anything by going with a j5 for 50$ more.
