I received my 880 roomba today and because of your video, I was able to get right to getting the roomba ready to use. As we speak, it is cleaning a very complicated room with a dining room set, 4 bar stools, two chairs, two tables, and a bar. It is amazing. I didn't have to move a thing and the carpet in the room is beautifully cleaned. I already own a Neato Botvac and it does not compare in any way. The Roomba is much much better. I am so HAPPY I got the 880 Roomba. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the video. I was just given one of these from mom. She never used it but lost Manuel and remote. Does this version have wifi or can be used by the app on smart phone? If it does I can’t figure out how to connect.

Nice review, but you don't seem to really understand the function of the lighthouses. They are used to separate areas, and their main purpose is to contain the Roomba to one area for a period of time, them allow it to pass into the next area after the current one is clean and contain them there. As you mentioned, it does then help the Roomba to find it's way back as well when it finishes cleaning or the battery runs low.

I find iRobot or Neato charge too much. The newer Roomba 980 cost nearly $900. For that money I can buy 4 Haier SWR-T321 for less Only $168. Neato cost about $500. Beside it has two brushes and it is quieter them iRobot Roomba or Neato. Haier SWR-T321 is cheapest and most versatile as it vacuum and mop at the same time. Check it out. By the way I do not work for Haier I am just a smarter consumer.

+John Doe Agreed. There are certain areas you just won't be able to reach with any robot vacuum cleaner. That said, for a daily clean it's perfect. Especially for those who are just not able to clean their floors frequently.

+Molly Stewart (#PartyGirl) :) It won't be as good as a human, but there are areas (like under my child's cot) which don't really get cleaned as much, as my upright won't fit. This Roomba was able to get under there without any problems. For a quick clean every day (or night), it's really good to have. Mind you, the cost is pretty high, so I probably wouldn't get one unless I absolutely couldn't clean the place myself. :)
