on some of the roombas you can actually control them with a google home device or an Amazon echo. with the google home if you have an android phone you have google built in, so say you don't have time to vacuum before work and then on your break you think "oh no in have so and so coming over later", then you can say "Ok google, start roomba", and google on your phone will get your google home device to start roomba vacuuming. I know you can set timers on roomba, but if you don't have a timer set for that day for whatever reason then google can save the day. I don't know if the Amazon echo can do this away from home, but I would have thought it could. I'm contemplating on getting the floor washing one as well, but I'm ooming and areing at the moment.

This is the won that we used to have when I was little and everytime they would turn it on I would stand on the couch and scream like I’m scared but then a few years later we threw it away and we don’t have a roomba iRobot now :(
