Great demonstration can't believe how dirty the water was. Getting rid of my mop and getting a Bissell crosswave.

I really enjoyed this vid. Currently I've been looking at robotic lawn mowers and I wonder how much technology they share with robotic vacuums.

What is at the bottom of the bumper? I have two 330s, two 380s (same as this one, but for the US market) and a 450 (totally different). I have had one of the 380s for 9 years now and it still runs and cleans awesome. And it is unbelievable just how much dirt these things pick up. It is a real shame that iRobot abandoned the Scooba for the Mint/Bravva. Also, in spite of iRobot's suggestions, you don't have to limit your self to water/water-vinegar/water-scooba solution. Two or three drops of HE clothes washing detergent works great without degradation of the unit and no sudsing.

So you should spend more time to cleanup the robot than to cleanup the floor. Great concept! :D
@misterkota12524 жыл бұрын
It’s actually pretty easy. It cleans way better than any human could. Even if you clean the floors first it will STILL pick up more dirt. I love mine. They are for people who like to tinker anyway. So I think dummies wouldn’t like these machines.

We do use a mop only but we do it a different way we refresh it using the sink, it is kind of hard work but it's far better than using the bucket and refreshing it that way, I do pursuade my mum and dad to get a Scooba or the Bissel Crosswave but they say No what's the point?

Thanks for another enlightening floor care video! Any idea if the Scooba had trouble removing dried on dirt like a splatter of gravy or dried juice or salad dressing or a smashed chocolate chip?

Thanks for clearing this up for us! I wash my bath & kitchen floors on my hands & knees like Cinderella, but having one of these would be a hoot! Probably do a better job too. 😌

Do you still use your Scooba Roger? I dug mine out of the cupboard today - haven’t used it in years, need to a few spares (including a new battery). It is actually a really good floor cleaner and I don’t know why I stopped using it. Sadly spares are becoming much harder to find...
@ibaisaic4 жыл бұрын
I use it regularly, though it now stops before it’s finished so I believe a new battery is needed.
@nicholaswheeler39854 жыл бұрын
ibaisaic I do believe you are correct - I just bought a new one for mine because of the same problem, it’s been in storage for many years. Picked up a scooba 450 this week with same issue! I will be doing a little video about it at some point .
@davidgalloway65747 жыл бұрын
Genius video! Delightful. But does it clean corners? Doesn't appear to.
@ibaisaic7 жыл бұрын
It does clean corners. The rotating brush cleans up to the edge on one side and during the cleaning cycle the robot ensures that it goes round the edges on the side where the brush is nearest the edge of the body.
@LlyleHunter7 жыл бұрын
I was wondering how it handed that.. Thanx Roger.
@RoboVacParty7 жыл бұрын
No, it doesn't because it's round and can't reach nooks like Roomba with its side brush.
@ibaisaic7 жыл бұрын
Ignore the comment from jagodek02. The Scooba has a much longer central brush than a Roomba with one end of it going right up to the edge of the robot. The gap between the last bristle and the edge is very small, so in my experience, it cleans very close to walls and the bases of kitchen cabinets.
@RoboVacParty7 жыл бұрын
Why to ignore my comment if it's true?! The edge of the wall is not the same as the corner. He asked about corners, mean 90-degree space between two perpendicular walls...where Scooba round side can not reach at all !

I currently have a Hoover Floormate Deluxe, but this robot seems to do a great job automatically. Do you think the Scooba is worth the money for hands-free floor care?
@ibaisaic7 жыл бұрын
The Scooba has been discontinued so you may not be able to get one brand new. I wouldn't have paid full price for one, but it does a good job and it's nice to be able to leave it to wash the floor while you go out or do something else.

Thanks! I'll do some looking on eBay to see what prices I can find.
