We call those trucks the Michigan specials They were used for fleet use I happen to have one I have an 89 And I might have a full Chrome assembly grilled for that vehicle

That Bronco originally came with a 351 but was converted to a Cummins diesel, possibly a 4bt

Paint booth come up pretty good. Hah i've had so many similar auction experiences like that ,cars always go for too much for my likings for something you can't even take for spin around the block .I've learnt a heap of cars in those type of auctions have expensive issues which is why yards send them there. Not all but another thing to think about. Also got to add 15-20% buyer premium on top too normally. Not worth it.

Not a bad looking truck for its age. A lot that have been in the weather for a while have rust in the firewall. Bad design for drainage in that grid in front of the windscreen all thanks to the Right Hand Drive mods to the firewall. Hate to burst a bubble here but That is a 302. All Australian Ftrucks from 1986 to mid 89 with EFI came with 5.0 Windsor. Put the measuring tape across the valley. Roughly 9inches across inlet manifold width is 302. Roughly 11 inches is 351. 5.8 EFI started around end of 89 though till they finished in this shape the end of 1992. I have a 88 model that I have owned from new. I argued with NSW RTA about the engine size typed on the rego papers saying it is a 5.8 when in actual fact the engine is a 5.0. Turns out the wrong engine size was typed in from new and never corrected. The RTA told me to produce another engine number and then they would correct the rego papers. I told them they had it wrong from the start but they only recognise the engine as a 5.8. I know a lot of other people with Ftrucks the same model and some are shocked to find out that they have been running a 5.0 all this time. If you need any info on these things I’m your man. I have 5 of them. Have fun with it. They are a awesome truck.

Definitely the 351 and 5 speed was available. Had twin tanks too. Australian versions kept the old 80-86 dash, and as pointed out, got an XF steering wheel, which was still available as the XF ute used it until 1993. I think it was only the Ambulance market that kept it here and justified RHD.

Yes mate, we are in Australia and it's an F truck or Effie for short. Agreed we sometimes call them a F100/150 etc ute but we definitely don't call it a pick up. Nice find all the same.
