Maxwell Quantum Tony Stark. His parents are dead but he's a grown man so I don't know if that counts. He did lose his mother quite early, though. Sometimes his father depending on what you read.

Yeah. I still call bullshit though. He was wealthy and could have easily actually PREPARED for the journey. Not just take a wife, a child and a business partner. Poorly thought out origin story if I am being honest.

TheViolander Wendell Rand was mad. Like actually 100% bonkers. Current Iron fist series is delving into it more extensively but that Rand Snr had gone kinda mad was always part of the story. Also, they did plan, its noted in most versions of the story that they had left base camp with sherpa guides and suitable equipment but as the journey became treacherous it was Rand snrs obsession that drove them forward in the face of much protest from Mecham, Heather, and the sherpas (who turned back). To further this point an american climber was in the news recently for almost getting his 11 year old daugther and 9 year old son killed during an avalanche in the French Andes. (real people are crazier than anything in fiction)

I've seen him heal himself effortlessly, sense that someone was about to snipe him and dodge it, swat bullets back at the gunman (a simulation of Bucky Captain America), and heard he is capable of toppling mountains. Iron Fist is a bad ass.

Completely taken by surprise at this Origin as Iron Fist is not the first guy you'd think to talk about usually. His series run with the Immortal Weapons is a proud collection that I have and really touches on Danny's powers, friendships, and even the mystical city of Kun Lun.
