I have played this song in several bands I've been in... and I can tell you for a FACT that it is NOT the easiest song by any means! I'm a drummer/percussionist of over 43 yrs. and this song is STILL a bit of a challenge but ALSO STILL VERY Fun to play! I LOVE THIS SONG!

They like the sound. I went to high school in Montebello, CA and my school was around 2/3 Latino and 1/3 Asian. When I was a freshman in 1986 Iron Maiden tshirts were like the school uniform, all on the Latino kids, mostly 2nd Gen or later Americans.

I think it also has a lot to do with the fact that unlike some bands, Iron Maiden don't just do a couple of nights in, say, Mexico City or Sao Paulo; they when they tour Central and South America, they hit as many countries as will have them, multiple cities in some countries. They've always been quite special in that regard, so it's not surprising that they are beloved there.
