the first maiden album I ever heard was live after death...I just loved the cover art, and when I heard it I was only 15...I pushed play on my cassette deck, and holy fuck was I ever amazed at the pure genius of these songs...the structure, the harmonies, the tone, the subject matter...then I heard seventh son afterwards...also digging the cover art...once I heard that album, I knew I had discovered the best metal band in existence...and to this day, no one comes even close to their sound, their energy, and stage presence...I mean what I discovered when I was 15 was pure fucking magic...long live this incredible band!!! the best song I've ever heard live would be the rime of the ancient mariner. Christmas 1987 l was 13 ,my mother bought me IRON MAIDENS live after death concert cassette, and I was blown away, I listened to that tape for 10 years until I wore it out ,then I bought the remastered collection on CD. I wish they could fill stadiums like this in the US. I've seen them 4 times, but all at relatively small venues. I can't imagine how incredible it would be to see them in one of the South American or European stadium events!
