Preston, you should watch the Iron Maiden documentary. Bruce (the lead singer) literally piloted, flew their plane for the tour and they went to places most bands won't go. It's such an amazing documentary. I love them so much.
@wattling13965 жыл бұрын
Bruce got a pilots licence when the band had a brief split and he thought he may need a new career but he has to be almost one of the coolest people can perform like this fly a passenger airliner and owns a ww1 replica plane and as you say flew the band on tour

Lead Singer Bruce Dickenson is probably my favorite living famous dude. Got his commercial pilots license to fly the band around the world. One day, some British nationals were trapped in Lebanon during the Arab Spring (I believe?) and no actual corporate airlines or military organizations were stepping up to the plate to get them out. So Bruce effing Dickenson flies there himself and gets his fellow countrymen out of Dodge. The legend goes he played ACES HIGH over the PA system on repeat for the entire 10 hour flight and received a standing ovation every time the song ended. (Okay, I made that last part up)

I was a fan for 36 years before I got to see Iron Maiden in concert. My son got us a booth right up by the stage. Even with my old eyes I could see Steve Harris' fingers playing that bass. It was epic.
